  1. Find DVD, thanks for link, shows Amazon as cheapest, thats where I bought mine. Now on series 4, think in the adverts for series 5 someone describes it as televisual crack and that is so true, best thing on tv in last few years..FACT
  2. Not just TV but art....watched series 1-3 over the last 3 weeks and dreading watching the end of series 5 because that will be that. Just brilliant!!
  3. West Brom BS were sponsors a few years ago, for past few years they had T Mobile. Read in one of the marketing sections of Independent or Times that a few clubs are having sponsorship issues and that only the "big 4" are likely to be immune, expect to see more of the Villa approach
  4. waitrose mixed with a little bit of aldi, best of both
  5. 1 Torres....a moment of class, according to guy on setanta had fewest touches of anyone starting the game, but just needed one..and was sharp enough for Gordons parry before Keane intervened 2 Reina...Esp in second half his catching was excellent 3 Hyppia, showed he can still contribute
  6. Found a good un the other night for use after 6pm only and I'm not telling!!! otherwise dig deep for parking unless you want to be way out of town..have seen various places at £4.50 for the day but of regular parks Mt pleasant is £6 for day
  7. quoted from Sid Lowe in the Guardian "España entera se va de borrachera!" they chanted - the whole of Spain is going on the piss. Suppose it can be adapted
  8. This site might be able to help
  9. Of the two I prefer Moraira, more restaurants, bars and so on. Both areas though are starting to lose some of thir charms and the restaurants are stopping the menu del dias of an evening and putting up prices as well. Xabia or Javea to the north of Moraira is also worth a look, split into 3 parts, a touristy part, the port area and the old town usually has something for everyone and has a more spanish feel, another bet could be to look north of Valencia , Peniscola, Alcossebre and Benicassim all have their good points
  10. But can't you wait for the great transfer discussion when a sub for Austria scores an outrageous goal in the 88th minute and we have a thread on why we should buy him and then someone else points out that in an obscure U21 tournament somewhere else in the world someone else has scored an even better goal and we should buy him and we all rush to youtube and have arguments, meanwhile we wait to see who will be owning the club next season and how soon it will be sorted to actually do the deals that Rafa knows he wants already.
  11. Alan thanks..great info...even took my lads attention away from your avatar for just a moment though
  12. Many thanks neko, I think the host family have a few bob I'll save the money for myself:drool:
  13. For you Canadians, my son who is 17 is going to Calgary in July to stay with a friends family, any idea what there is to do there? Also how expensive is life there, what sort of money will he need to get through 18 days given that transport and housing, much food, etc will be down to his mates family? Any help appreciated
  14. If you know someone who read the Independent, last saturday they had a special pull out section on travelling by train around Spain had tips on using trains and the best stations with food tips and so on.
  15. Like to see one of the reserves on the bench tomorrow for some experience, not saying that the likes of nemeth should be ahead of crouch in all circumstances but if the game is sewn up with 10 mins to go, then give them a go
  16. They only brought him on with a minute to go as it was a mission impossible
  17. only book never finished was Vernon God Little and it tops this list as well
  18. had a lot of patience for rafa this season but now beginning to think that we are just not going to progress any further, takes too long to make substitutions and then often the wrong ones. The players tonight just didn't look like they were ever going to be champions, and no use saying tired after all the games, all teams play the same number and with rotation we should be fresher..could just go on and on but so annoyed at the moment
  19. Some admissions officers will not read your application. If you are looking for a competitive course at a highly rated Uni then your A level predictions may hold the key. If your teachers reckon your going to get 3 C's don't waste your choices looking for a place that is AAB they won't read your application. If it is likely to be read then go to the UCAS site look through subject search and see if the course of your choice has EP there. If so it should tell you what qualities they will be hoping to see in your application. Don't be a smart arse with quirky quotes and you should be ok. Birmingham Uni even if you are not going there usually has some of the best Educational Profiles to work with. Good Luck
  20. My mums neighbour ran that place for a while, one summer a local complained that the place was too hot, could a window be opened, when told that the decorators has painted over the frame and it was stuck the lad just picked up a chair threw it through the window and said "well it effin fixed now" and carried on drinking. Mind you I remember discovering the bar in the Peacock in Kirkby there every piece of furniture was screwed to the floor.
  21. Thank God for bargain booze 8 cans of DAB for £6, have a few cases of bud but drank DAB in 2005 run and through this...bottle of rose cava but not on ice that might be putting the mockers on.
  22. They were also reporting from JLA with 4 ladies going to the game with tickets, all off a friend called Ann, and 2 of them stated that they had only just started supporting the team!!!!!! Evidently this Ann is fantastic at getting her friends tickets for LFC events. Who might she be and will she be my friend as well?
  23. Another vote for the set of Barnes Rush and Daglish Ray Kennedy as the extra
