Rob Jones. Never seen such a debut from a signing that was fairly low-key but sadly injuries affected his progress.

 

Same goes for Babbel, excellent first season then afflicted by illness.

If it wasn't for the injury/injuries he would have been englands number one right back all that time that rat face was. I'd take Jones in a fucking wheelchair over the current one as well.

Babbel and Rob Jones for me. Babbel wasn't here long enough to achieve legend status but he could have done if not for the illness. Same with Jones to a degree; if he'd stayed fit he would have been a tremendous player. I also had a soft spot for Veggard Heggem!

Steve Nicol.

 

Although could be argued he played pretty much every where but he was consistent as the day was long. a superb right back. and who could forget his hat trick against the BArcodes in 1988.

 

Steve Nicol played right mid against Newcastle when he got that hat-trick.

 

Either Nicol or Rob Jones for me.

Markus Babbel. Fantastic defender, and scored quite a few goals to boot.

I was scanning the thread before putting Lawlor up myself. Top shout mate. What a player/man/servant to the club. Loved him when I was a lad!!!
