I reckon they should stick with the traditional scouse pies and the like and those rolldog hotdogs aren’t to bad. They just need more outlets and more stock. For everyone who tries to buy a pie or hotdog and cant get one because the queue is massive or they have sold it, Its lost revenue to the club. This is the type of thing i expect the yanks to improve along with the merchandising.

the thing is that's ideal should you only be getting in just on KO and going to your seat - so the time you have to buy is about 30 mins max per match. but if youy want people to spend more time in the stadium you need more imo .as an example, when we were at the skydome in toronto where we had plenty of time to spend there, there was loads of choices to eat. big catering areas almost like what you get in shopping centres, selling chicken and chips, pizza, noodle bars and other stuff. so instead of a quick pie spending 2 quid like we all do now, you bought chicken and chips for about 3 times that. i'm not saying we should get rid of the quick easy food like we have now, just give people more options. the better you make it, the more people will use and spend. the club love the family day trippers - they'd love to be in the stadium at 12:00 for a 3pm KO if they had stuff to keep them there - so what the club need is to provide for everyone, not just people turning up at 2.55 who are pissed and grateful for anything.

The only time iv experienced something like that was at the open last summer. Getting a pint was no problem their either they had them machines that poured 6 pints at a time. it was packed but i only waited about 5 mins if that. So it is possible.

we went to that dome in toronto on the pre-season tour the other year both for our match and a baseball game. that was a great place for sucking money out of you - but somehow you didn't feel you were being had off, which i think everytime i buy a warm can of carlsberg for 2.50 or whatever it is at anfield.

Haven't been in a decade I reckon but I used to take my Dad to the baseball as he was a big fan. In Montreal they bring the ale right to your seats, open up a bottle and pour it into a plastic cup (don;t want bottle chuckers and glass breaks on concrete if you drop it). You could order as many as you want. It's amazing how fun a baseball game can be with cold ale.

I remember the old CSL (Canadian Soccer League) and there used to be this fella that sold Croc sized Fosters (750ml) out of cooler at the Ottawa Intrepid games. God, the football was shit but it was still good times getting loaded. Many times had to leave my car in the park and take the bus, usually to the Prescot Hotel where they made square pizza and meatball sandwhiches and served quarts of beer. It was right in the middle of Little Italy so I had to mind my manners although I do remember one night yelling out the passenger window Baggio over the bar to all the Italians sipping coffee on their patios. Every second car was a Camaro.

Then I met an Italian and married her so all that nosnsense had to stop.

If the Yanks really wanted to take things far they'd pave over Stanley Park and we could tailgate- imagine making paella sitting on coolers full of Miller Genuine Draft with cheeseheads on singing songs. Now that would be an atmosphere.

Yeah we had all that too at Toronto. You certainly don't go the stadium and spend less than a fiver when you get there!!!
