If we can forget the fact that we lost 1-0 to a wonder goal from a player we generally despise, and we calmly look at the facts.............we outplayed them in practically every department of the game.

Sure, some of our players were below par, but look at the way we eclipsed Lampard, Shevchenko, Ballack, Makalele etc.

They have Petr Cech to thank we didn't equalize (the fair result on the play in my book!)

All in all, we have closed the quality gap by a mile. The results will follow.

I too think we played well. After all, what did Chelsea produce? Not a fucking chance, that's what. Dogshit scored out of nowhere, it's the kind of goal you just can't defend against.

 

We created at least two great chances, and should perhaps have had a pen. And Dirk came within an inch of breaking his duck.

 

The problem is, I doubt we can afford to lose games like this against Chelsea and still win the league. It sort of reminded me of our game against the mancs last season at OT. We were easily their equals, but we still lost. That shit has got to stop.
