  1. once had a Grade II townhouse (which was cheap in the 90's- just as Blair got elected) so i had to use a local council's own 'approved' architect to get the plans through for some uncomplicated structural work. when submitted, the council rejected them. not wanting to be in a caught in Kafka style loop, i refused to pay for them initially, told them to get it right amongst yourselves as you 'recommended' them to me and bill me when they were. it got solved and went through at the cost it should have been first time of asking. you can guess who what sort of politics is omnipresent.
  2. certainly broke the mould when they made Ray Kennedy. in the career that he had. but he was like all the real great players, they seem to have loads of time, play at their own pace, work for the team as a unit and are deadly when it matters.
  3. look at it this way- it's always amusing to see what lives rent free in people's heads via overt repetition- as we obviously do in Tyler's
  4. don't know if mentioned but there is a mad little shop in St. John's precinct selling a full range of media. very good priced record box sets that are not damaged and some stuff you have got to watch on what they bring out when you get it off the shelf. something for everyone there i would have thought. don't know how long it's been there if anybody knows? looks like something to do with HMV returns or something like that. if you box (sorry) clever you can walk out with some great stuff. it's on the LFC shop side up the escalator on the right.
  5. as long as these fucking identikit BBC wankers are getting their mortgage paid and their kids sent to private school to avoid any sort of reality, productive work that benefits society and the hell on earth for many they mostly vote to enforce, they are quite happy. they have no scruples or decent principles whatsoever. selfish, greedy and mostly morally bankrupt scumbags. they'll do anything to toe the line now. wasn't always like that. it was a once respected organisation universally. then again, all artificially formed cliques where people only back-slap their own back-slappers and rate themselves as some sort of laughable, higher life-form hierarchy is also the same and quite tory in concept. plus those who are desperate to join to perpetuate it by appeasement for some sort of perceived gain or kudos.
  6. i probably come at it from more of a superficial, enjoyment level to be fair. not a work or business perspective when talking about Liverpool. but what you say is all too true. yeah, it's the same down here for start-ups. without going into too much boring detail about my previous situation- getting affordable space is a joke sometimes. some of the amounts being asked for are massively prohibitive to people not born with a silver spoon in their mouths. this can lead to talent going to waste- certainly from people who need that help the most. that needs to be addressed all over the country with better government initiatives - and that includes local too. because that's the main issue that confronts anyone who wants to take charge of their destiny- low initial overheads even if most of the guts of what you do is online. hopefully in future i will make another idea work and hit pay-dirt without having to house so much 'stuff'. which costs. which i can fall back on to until doomsday, fortunately. luckily i also have great support too from long-time friends in business and we help each other. many don't. that really makes a difference. we're all in the same boat- trying to do things for ourselves without having to break bread with the sort of middle-manager wankers we all cant abide. but any rewards will have been a long time coming. close to solving this problem for good and will move onto other ventures also. the open possibilities are what makes it worth doing for me. sitting in a counting house isn't the thing that really motivates. having a good time doing things i enjoy is what is all about- many people with lots are very unhappy and i have seen this and worked that out. am sure you will get where you need to go because it's clear you have the drive and intelligence to put that into practice for yourself. in whatever you choose to do.
  7. the bohemian qualities, which set Liverpool apart from all the rest, have certainly been decimated by some right fucking helmets in the centre since i first lived there in the early 90's. my lad certainly knows no different, being born in the mid 2000's in the city still better than most places though. no question at all. not that my patronage is required
  8. touched by the hand of cod cod! show me magic etc
  9. my magpie eyes were certainly hungry for the prize
  10. they gave him a piece of a battered fish - Luke 24:42 as it's in a religious setting. i'm not the one holding the camera- i don't do that. think mine was fully present and correct for about 3 minutes
  11. when at the parade for the Champions league win i said to my mate i've changed my mind. more happy to win that than the tile. to give the side more to strive for and i am ecstatic this has been proved right doing it that way round. who can take Klopp on over a season again next year? more eyes on City and their cheating. we can do it again back to back. 'miles and miles already done- miles and miles still left to come.....' oh what a night! hope everyone has a great time this weekend
  12. the cat in the hat will continue outdoor lock-down grave disorder- al fresco fish & chips / beers until further notice. nice after a kick-about. much better than crowded, sweaty, risky pub going
  13. they cannot and should not silence George Sephton - even to a virtually empty stadium
  14. Evertonians might get up a posse and throw it in the River Mersey if it became reality- because he was evil to dare to try and win the tile under COVID-19 or some other fucking demented shite oh yeah. and Gerrard deserves his own statue too
  15. started running again way before this COVID-19 shenanigans. 3 times a week but upped it because the weather has been largely decent and no swimming pool action. which i would do twice a week. so a bit of a substitute for now. miss that big time, more than i thought i would. no great shakes- 2 large fields i can access with short walks to break it up. don't like to be out more than half an hour. running on concrete- i've always thought that is for lunatics, certainly for over 40's. didn't do it when i played football either and nor do footballers generally. grass is best for long term i reckon. everyone is different though. the fresh air, a bit of nature with the tunes on is also great for thinking about the day ahead. nice to be back to a loose medium and by doing it manageable and sustainable. gotta be a loose fit. also keep Britain tidy by picking up mostly energy drinks cans and bottles on the way- irony being they didn't have the necessary vitality to walk and put them in a bin after consumption. payment for community use of amenities in my book. well done anyone getting off their ass and getting involved- using a negative situation for a positive mental and physical effect for themselves.
  16. nor does that. jack. believe that
