  1. Just out of interest, are the owners obliged to turn debt into equity under PL rules? I seem to remember Abramovich being forced to do so
  2. I jibbed Sky a few years back when it dawned on me that I couldn't watch footy at 3pm on a Saturday. Like, what the fuck. They have cameras in every ground in the fucking country and I'm paying a fortune.
  3. Citizen Kaning - Wolfie Smith gets off his face.
  4. I'm reading a lot of Seneca and a bit of Epicurus these days, to be fair.
  5. Aye, that's the one, the fucking dick. Funny as hell though. Plus I remember hearing him talk a couple people down from the ledge who were suicidal live on air.
  6. Yep. Along the same lines - I remember straining to get a signal on Red Rose Radio to listen to Alan Beswick.
  7. Hope you're alright Stig. Onwards and upwards.
  8. There's no football allowed on the GF... oh, you little scamp
  9. Hollister - shop named after a brand of colostomy bags where hipsters go to buy scruffy trackies ("leisure wear") in the dark.
  10. The same goes for serving grub on a fucking roof slate.
  11. Yes but you have to pay for them.
  12. Yup. Wasn't there also a mention of him having some sort of smelter on his premises too? If I'm Avery and I've got one of those I'm not going to try and burn a body on the ground next to my house.
  13. He wouldn't get past the first jump on Ninja Warrior.
  14. 69 last Friday I think. I was never fussed on Bowie either. I never got it. Although strangely, I didn't dislike him which is unusual: growing up, I always found music quite polarising. I guess I'm a love 'em or hate 'em kinda guy. I did, however, always respect him hugely as an innovator and a human being.
  15. Yep, good article. I was particularly taken with this quote: "Thirty-five years ago, a postdoctoral fellow in psychology named Saul Kassin began researching the psychological factors that affect jury decisions. He noticed that whenever a confession was involved, every juror voted guilty. Alibis and fingerprints didn’t matter in these cases." Pretty shocking stuff that someone would take that as a basis for a 'method'.
  16. Was checking the schedules, and Channel 5 have it in the uk, but no start date yet. Website says "early February".
  17. Just finished this in a 5-hour stretch, shocking tv really. Spent most of my time fuming at the prosecutors and cops, so much of what they were saying seemed completely unreal and untrustworthy. They just seemed absolutely desperate to get a conviction, rather than investigating the truth. It was good to see that Len Kachinsky and his mate get taken apart at the end. He seemed consumed by his (failed) political career and getting his face on telly. Why was he always smirking? Obviously we only get one side with the documentary, but the convictions both seem totally outlandish and the complete lack of blood at the Avery residence surely raises an almost impossible bar to the prosecution(doesn't it?). Thanks to those who provided links to further evidence, I'll be having a read of those.
