This is dependent on how much houses prices appreciate in an area but I would spend as much as possible on the house with an interest only mortgage to fund it (if you can get it) A £200k house with 5% increase PA would earn you £10K a year. It is red or black but I would go for a smaller more expensive house in a more desirable area. Obviously a big increase in mortgage rates and a property value collapse is the risk you take.

I'm English so therefore, by that chance event, I want them to win. If i was a player I would qualify for both Irelands but I would have only chosen to play for someone over England if I wasnt good enough to get in the team. I dont really get people who act as if they're from another country just because their grandparents were born elsewhere, its a bit far removed for me. My grandmother was from Co Monaghan, my mum is from Belfast but I was born and lived most of my life in England, to be anything other than English would be plastic. That said I dislike so much around the England team - the media, dick head fans, the managers and their treatment of players, that if they go out in the next round I wont be particularly upset about it.

I drove back from Liverpool yesterday and hit loads of rush hour traffic. People slogging home, nose to tail, on the M62/M6/M5, boiling hot, frustrated and pissed off. Many of these people will have done the same in the morning and will be doing the same the next day, early starts late finishes. Working from home must be a better option

Think it through - 11 miles a day up and down cliff paths in the hottest month of the year there. Then theres the 6 hours a day listening to her wittering on about the flora and fauna, the dirty look when you lit up a fag and drink free evenings because you've got to do it all again the next day

I enjoy a good walk but the mrs loves it and would be out every day if she could. Shes done Patagonia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Kilimanjaro and god knows where else. We do a bit of the South West coastal path round Cornwall most weeks which can be pretty stunning. We're going to Australia in January partly on a walking holiday on the great ocean walk in Vicroria, to be fair im fucking dreading it

I worked from home a couple of days a week , on the road the rest of the time with the odd day in an office. I found that I hated the office and could get 4 hours office work in to an hour at home leaving plenty of lazing about time. The only benefit I found of being in an office was if you wanted something done you could go and stand in front of someone rather than being fobbed by email or phone.
