Pupils in 'fantastic' papier-mache tributes to Frank Sidebottom

School children have made their own "really fantastic" tributes to comedy musician and cult figure Frank Sidebottom by creating their own papier-mache heads - they really have.

Pupils at Chapelfield Primary in Radcliffe, Bury, were given the comedy character as a research project.
"It was quite a whacky thing to do and certainly gave us a lot of laughs," headteacher Malcom Gate said.
Frank Sidebottom was the creation and alter ego of Ashton-on-Mersey-born musician Chris Sievey, who died in 2010.
With his pin-striped suit, catchphrases and papier-mache head, he became a cult figure on TV and the comedy circuit during the 1980s.
