  1. Wood look finish, so the baby gets to feel right at home.
  2. Hes hot stuff. Hate that hes off to that second rate tournament.
  3. Objectively one of the greatest players to ever grace a pitch. Unobjectively the greatest player ever. Watching these days isnt the same without him.
  4. It's gotta be 2006 FA Cup final. Hit that so sweetly...
  5. Keane better than Gerrard? Viera? Fuckoff!!!! Good players. Great even. But Gerrard... Gerrard, without a fucking shadow of a doubt, was the most complete player of his generation. Not complete "attacker" or "midfielder". Player. You could put him in ANY side, past or present, and the Manager would find a place for him in it, in any position, and he'd have done better than 90% of anyone else in that position. Gerrard could do it all. Finish, create, dictate, press, tackle... no player in our history could do all those things as well as he could. How many in the history of the game could? You could probably count them on one hand and have fingers to spare. We don't realise how privileged we were to watch him play. His failings as a player were solely down to him carrying this club for so long. Any lesser man would have cracked ages ago. For me, the greatest player I've seen play, bar none.
  6. The drop off to Coentrao is astounding as well. Their poorest position and back up for them.
  7. Ross Barkley. Not shit by any means, but vastly of over-rated. Wilshere as well.
  8. Far up to the right of the pitch. They launched a quick counter and he was up field at the time. I'm not Morenos biggest fan, but if youre required to push up for width, you're at the risk of being exposed to a quick counter like that. Then it's the job of your centre half or defensive mid to cover the space you vacated.
  9. We've played last seasons top 4, and only dropped 2 points against them. We've also beaten Chelsea and would have beat a poor Man team if not for their keeper. City's looked shaky against the stronger sides. They've had the easiest start of the current top four and only lead the pack on goal difference. I think we're well on for top 4 at this rate.
  10. To put things in perspective, we're the only side in the top 4 this weekend to pick up maximum points.
  11. That was shit. We need to do better against teams that play like shite if we want to challenge. This shows we have a lot of work to do still.
  12. Aye. So I've heard from my 4 father figures.
  13. He's actually ace on FIFA 17. 77 overall, but really quick and has good stamina.
  14. I expected us to concede at least one against them, as they do have real quality going forward... but I love beating these. Vile club, vile supporters, disgustingly vile players, great result. They've not really been tested yet in the league until now, so hopefully they'll implode from here on. Some tough fixtures coming up for them.
  15. Just wanted to pop in and say Im loving these Friday night kick offs so far.
  16. I quite liked the little cameo by Stewart. Always made himself available for the pass when we were under pressure at the death, and showed a lot of composure on the ball. He's a bit of a late bloomer, but i really hope he can kick on from the recent chances he's been getting.
  17. I disagree on your points about the goals. Sturridge was running to the goalmouths right, and to lay a simple pass off to Mane would have needed to stop and turn increasing the risk of getting tackled and/or the keeper closing off the direction of the pass. As it was, he basically wrong footed two players with the back-heel. For Lallanas goal, the obvious pass was to Firmino as his run wasn't marked, but the pass was covered the second after he controlled it. I think he showed good composure to lift his head when his back was to goal to pick up Lallana. As for the last, the Leicester defenders were running to cover a shot on goal while Mane rounded the keeper pushing him out wide, with one defender trying to close him from the front. It was another example of good, unselfish team play to pick out Firmino who was completely unmarked. He actually chose the less risky option in that scenario.
  18. I just wanted to pop in and say that Danny Murphy is a vile, odious, toad from the Land of Tedium.
  19. Nice anticipation to get Coutinhos flick on, good control, and a perfect cross to Lallana. Other than that, he was a bit lost for most of the match. Bearing in mind, it was also his first competitive start for us. I don't know, I kinda like him. I hope he does well for us.
