  1. I wouldn't be against Enrique coming here, but given our limited budget and having Johnson, Kelly (and hopefully Flanagan) able to do a job at RB, I'd rather see our money (esp a rumoured £15m) spent elsewhere. LB, both wings and a play-making midfielder are all bigger priorities for me this summer.
  2. In years to come, psychiatrists will refer to 'England Manager's Syndrome' when explaining how seemingly reasonable men can turn into twats who think the disabled get what they deserve, upon the successful completion of a job interview.
  3. Man U doctors describe his condition as 'stable' and released this photo.
  4. That's the thing though. It's only a direct media blackout. As we can see, Ferguson's got his sycophants in the media working full-time putting out his version of the truth to make a story where there really isn't one.
  5. Nani: "I picked up this real nasty gash on Sunday." Rooney: "Great. Pass her my way after, la."
  6. Dunno how to embed links, but these are two of my faves: YouTube - Bashing in the office (Big Train)
  7. FA's failure to punish Manchester United's Wayne Rooney 'sends terrible message' say Wigan - Telegraph
  8. Surely Clattenburg's conduct needs to be looked at now, if not by the FA then by whoever in the media still has the balls to take them on. If Clattenburg's claiming that he took appropriate action at the time then he's either corrupt or grossly incompetent. Either way, he shouldn't be in the game.
  9. BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man City | Thatcher banned for eight matches If this precedent is anything to go by, there's no reason why Rooney can't be punished.
  10. Graham Poll: Manchester United star Wayne Rooney will probably be let off after elbow incident | Mail Online I see Graham 'three cards' Poll's been busy defending English footballs Holy Trinity (the FA, match officials, and Man U), but he seems to contradict himself here. He starts off by claiming that, as the ref must have gave the freekick for the elbow (as nothing else happened) no further action should be taken. Then, however, he goes on to say that Clattenberg couldn't have seen the elbow because he 'would surely have sent Rooney off', rather than cosying up to him. For what its worth, I doubt Clattenburg did see the elbow (meaning Rooney can be banned retrospectivley), but if he did see it (as Poll initially claims), then why isn't Poll pulling him up for only giving a freekick at the time? And, if Clattenburg didn't see it (as Poll later claims), then surely Rooney can be punished. There was nothing in it. But, because it was a piss-sodden tramp the press raised a campaign to get him hung by Tuesday or electrocuted or something like that
  11. Apparently Mongo's charging for guided tours around the crime scene.
  12. I hear what others are saying about Spurs success being more detrimental to our own in the long run, but, being the petty-minded vengeful cunt I am, I would love to see Chelsea lose out just to see the look on Torres' face at the end of the last match of the season as he contemplates another year in the Europa Cup. I would shit my pants with laughter. Actually, that wouldn't be the only reason I would want Spurs to get 4th - I fucking despise the route Chelsea (and City) have taken to achieving whatever success they have.
  13. Yep. He's just copying things the real fake Fat Sam said.
  14. Agreed. It's a powerful argument against AV right now, but would the Tories (who don't want AV) campaign on that basis? It'd be interesting to see. I think the Yes campaign is doomed, which raises an even bigger question - where do the Lib-Dems go after this? They've already been screwed over on Tuition fees, and if this fails too then I forsee some massive splits, either within the Lib-Dems or within the Coalition. edit: I see you've already asked that!
  15. If Torres had a £50m release clause, then why did Chelsea have to wait until we got Carroll before getting Torres? They were evidently willing to pay the money, so the fact they had to wait tells me that there was no clause, or he would've gone regardless.
  16. They've also got a 'Nigel Spackman Hospitality Entrance' at Stamford Bridge - the same Spackman who played for Liverpool, and who wanted us to beat the Rentboy's in the CL.
