  1. Very rarely post -but what the fook is a Gooner fan doing on here? Makes no sense..
  2. By 'tolerate' i mean accept, with the implication that acceptance would mean feeling a little underwhelmed with the signings that were made, i.e Downing, Dann etc. I think people are holding out for a Mata type signing and I don't think there'll be one.
  3. Would people here 'tolerate/welcome' the acquisitions of Downing, Adam and Dann should a marquee signing not materalise? I get the impression that alot of fans are accepting these players on the condition that a 'Mata', or a 'Hazard', or players of that ilk follow.
  4. Let's be honest, we need a major overhaul. N'gog and Spearing to change the game is a pitiable situation to find ourselves in- the cumulative evidence of years of under investment and mismanagement at various levels. Henry, Comoli, Dalglish are a step in the right direction though..
  5. Braga played well and didn't not allow themselves to be bullied by hoofball tactics (the first 15 mins aside). We created very little, in truth. We were massive favourites to go through and failed abysmally. I'm so fookin' pissed off (and pissed) it's unreal...
  6. From the daily fail....Arsenal put on Pepe Reina red alert after Liverpool keeper hints he could quit Anfield next summer | Mail Online
  7. Would love the King to get the job but a tiny part of me is worried that we may be verging on 'Geordie delusional' territory, something similar to the 'Messiah' chants of Newcastle supporters in returning Kevin Keegan to the managers post. Maybe it's an unfair comparison but it's certainly at the back of my mind... Fuck it... King Kenny it is..
  8. The defending in Denmark is terrible. They just stood there letting him waltz by. Statuesque.
  9. But you wouldn't know anything about the game, so how would you know about the Championship v Prem? If you were informed by the commentator
  10. Hoof Merchants. If you knew nothing about football and were watching a match for the first time, you would guess that we were the championship side. Dire performance.
  11. I think there is a point in a manager's reign (in the midst of a poor run of form) whereby that manager realises all his decisions are subject to a ridiculous level of scrutiny, and as a result, proceeds to make even more bizarre decisions in the vain hope of recovering some scintilla of a past reputation. I think we have reached that point with Benitez.
  12. How kuyt remains on the pitch and N'gog comes off is bewildering. This Hungarian team is tragically gash and had we been arsenal, united, or chelsea we'd talking about a criket score.
  13. Regarding Suarez, remember reading somewhere that there doubts over his temperament- he's a supposedly volatile player, giving to tantrums and the like- nonetheless, he's turned out to be some player this season. Reckon the 30 million plus is a pie-in-the sky figure though.
  14. In a dream world we'd use Babel as a makeweight in a deal for Suarez. But alas, this aint no dream world.
  15. Was impressed with N'gog and Degen and, on the whole, thought we played quite well. My hatred of Voronin has reached new heights though. As for Aquilani, I think we have a player on our hands.
