  1. Saw that this afternoon, absolutely brilliant, I actually got goosebumps at some points. The Chani stuff near the end was a bit annoying and superfluous, but the rest was astonishingly good- 9.5/10.
  2. I wonder when was the last time they actually got 40 thousand for a game.
  3. The other books in the original collection are also good to excellent- he withdrew Rage after some 'copycat' school shootings, but you should still be able to find a copy online or second hand. The Running Man novel is so much better than the ridiculous film as well. Thinner is a nicely nasty story published after King was outed as Bachman. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bachman_Books
  4. They put up 'Kloppage time' as a caption when they were reviewing the goal. Dickheads.
  5. She's only got a rusty one, OK if she plays that?
  6. He'd have to pay Usmanov back though, wouldn't he... Not a man you want to owe money to, unless you want to end up with a Liverbird inside you.
  7. Ugh... https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/01/most-mcdonalds-big-macs-eaten-lifetime-world-record-don-gorske
  8. Bizarre, they're not 'back' at all. All they've had is a short run of unconvincing wins, followed by a home defeat to Fulham.
  9. Er, that's some spin. Summary of the financial period: Media revenue fell by £19m to £242m Matchday revenue fell by £7m to £80m Commercial revenue rose by £25m to £272m Administrative costs rose by £17m to £562m Overall revenue remained static at £594m Loss before tax was £9m
  10. I love it. The set piece battles are incredible, especially the ride of the Rohirrim (sp?) during the last one. I saw the first two when they were released at the cinema, fantastic stuff, and it hasn't aged too badly either.
  11. 19 of those are from me and my Tufton Street bot army. Expect a Swatting within the hour.
  12. I always liked Jonathan Pie's post 2016 election rant. He's spot on that Clinton offered no real change, people were fed up and voted against their own interests in the hope that something would change, mirroring the Brexit referendum.
  13. So we run smarter, and the top 3 are like a bunch of school kids.
  14. It's been treated as an important trophy by LFC since the late '70s, the least prestigious of the 3 domestic trophies or a European trophy of course, but nevertheless something to win. The main difference with Man City, is that they can afford to have two first teams so resting players doesn't really mean a drop off in quality. From memory, they've also had some very favourable draws.
  15. I think the general context is that he's a weird, thin skinned, passive aggressive cunt, and it's eating him up inside that he's managing on cheat mode and not getting a tenth of the coverage we get.
  16. If people would stop making the lifestyle choice to be poor, all this could be avoided.
  17. An analysis of the 'wild west Britain' and 'Khan's crime wave' that the Tories keep trying to push. Unsurprisingly, it's bullshit- https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/feb/26/fact-check-has-sadiq-khan-really-overseen-a-surge-in-london
  18. Them getting another points deduction and ending up worse off than -10 would be very Everton.
  19. Kabbadi was great. The rule about constantly chanting 'kabbadi' and not taking a breath should be adopted by all sports.
