Don't think he did too much wrong yesterday to be fair. Don't even think it was a foul on Song when he got stood on & while he shouldn't have got involved in the Gervinho incident , if it hadn't been Joey I don't think there would have been such a problem. Feel a bit sorry for Gervinho. He should have had a penno & gets a 3 match ban instead.

Jaap Stam's at the World Cup was the worst I've ever seen. It went vertically like a harrier jump jet.

Liked Kenny's comment about the non-red card when he said that the referee had said that Luis had gone to the side & he added that when you are going straight at a goalie in a 1 on 1 it's the only way you can go.- 625 replies

If you have a front 5 of which the midfield 3 have never played a leadue game for the club & the 2 forwards have only played together 5 times, you are realistically going to be a bit disjointed. I think Kenny needs to look at the fitness aspect, as the way we are going to be top 4 this year is by pressing high & swarming over teams. We are not good enough to stroll through games & pick wins up comfortably. Not sure why Kelly wasn't playing & hope Flanno hasn't been damaged by the experience. Wondering also how Aquilani went from starter to outcast in a week ?- 625 replies

Never saw it, but have been amazed at the general fuss over a Charity Shield win. Keep hearing that Jones is the transfer of the summer, but all I see is a chunky, relatively short ( for a cb ) lad who threw in the worst tackle of last sesaon ( giving a penno away at Goodison )

I am hoping it is Lucas in front of the back 4, Henderson,Adam & Downing as a 3 & then Suarez flitting around Big Andy.- 625 replies

What's up with Kelly ? - he was in the Echo saying how fit he was. Is Flanagan ahead of him at right-back now ? Happy with the team ( the same as I picked yesterday except for Kuyt/Henderson ) I think it was LFD who said yesterday that tempo was the key & I agree with this 100%. If we come out full throttle & hunting in packs, we will win this .- 625 replies

I believe Marina needed the car today, is it a problem Jose ?

There was a programme on the cable last night called 'Youth Hostelling' and all that was needed was the words ' with Chris Eubank ' and Alan Partridge could have died happy.

Imagine thinking you were at your lowest ebb, only to answer the door & find Peter Andre there.

I would be a bit disappointed if these games are off, but at least when they are replayed I will be able to watch them on my new 42 inch plasma tv.

I think that we are totally undercooked at this stage & would be happy to win the home games & at least one of the away games. Always worry that these types of threads tempt fate a bit.

Damian, for the last time, I have no interest in young French boys.

United looked excellent. They understand that pace, width & attacking courage are the facets that will take you close to premiership success. Still feel that they have problems in central midfield ( Don't really rate Carrick or Anderson paticularly ) & hope that they don't get a decent addition in this area during the window. The goalie also looks a bit weedy to me although reasonably tall. I like my goalies a bit Pepe-ish.

Haven't been following either of their pre-seasons due to being on holiday, but Man Utd looked far livelier than City. Fairly positive from our point of view I suppose, in that we know Utd will be up at the top again but there are more question marks about City & even allowing for Aguero they don't look any better than last season & will be stretched by the Champions League also.

First serious computer was in work & I was just dumped on it & told to get onto a new system that had been introduced. Unfortunately I had never seen a mouse before & someone had put it behind the computer anyway, so I didn't have a clue what I was supposed to be doing. I just kept touching & shaking the screen, pressing random keyboard keys & turning the thing off & on.

He has that undefinable quality which makes you hate him on first sight & for this hatred to grow upon each subsequent sighting. A male Davina Mccall if you will.

I think the bookies have it about right, with the Southern big 3 way ahead in the betting, before England lumber in at 11/1. I could see England beating the Saffers on a very good day, but can't see us toppling NZ or Oz at all. Wouldn't give the other northerners any chance against the big 3 & with New Zealand as the home country, wouldn't be surprised to see a strong effort from the likes of Tonga, Samoa & Fiji also.

What are Chelsea going to with all of these forwards ?

Lee Mason had already signed up for the Spurs v Bilbao game ? Also loving the new ' Dirty Dirk ' persona where he just bullies lesser teammates out of their goals.

Realistically, Valencia are the bet of the day at @ 5/2 ish.

I think Kenny thought Carroll could do with the extra run-out & along with a couple of the youngsters who are as fit as fleas like Robinson & Flanagan they may be involved in both.
