    Always remember an article in Boxing News about Hector getting done for driving at 40 miles an hour in a 30mph zone & then pointing out that while this didn't seem massively serious, the fact that he was also having sex with a woman who was straddling him at the same time added to the judge's indignation.

    I suppose you have to expect a bit of naivety with a young side, but I was astonished how open we allowed the game to be in the last 10 mins. Once again it is individual mistakes & poor decision-making that costs us. The amount of times we gave the ball away in the last 10 minutes was ridiculous. Not sure why Brendan made an attacking sub when we went 2-1 up either. Was expecting Enrique on to add a bit of muscle & nous.

    I would not contemplate having a player who actually admitted he didn't care if his team won a game because he hadn't been picked. His lack of interest if Chelsea score a goal & he isn't involved is palpable.

    Thought he was written off too quickly. He was poor 2nd half of last season when we were generally poor & he caught the malaise. He has been injured for most of the early part of this season.

    Weirdly enough, my wife who knows nothing about boxing watched a bit of the early part of the Klitschko fight with me & said straight away that Wach's punching was a bit strange. She said something along the lines of ' That retarded looking bloke's fists aren't even clenched when he is trying to hit the fitter fella'. Buncey had better watch out.

    I can't see City being interested in Luis as Luis,Tevez & Aguero are all a bit similar. While not for the club, it is at least a positive story for Luis pointing out his burgeoning value brought on by his fantastic performances. It seems to me that the constant press & public negativity seems to be reducing on him lately, and his actual talent being appreciated.

    That was my first thought as soon as he got his first England call-up & I wondered whether he was happy to sort out a car park speck for the agent at that point. Joking apart, when I first heard the comment I thought that it a) Didn't need to be made b) Didn't need to be made public. A bit like the Carroll comment, I think Brendan needs to think a bit more and not talk so much ( I have a brother in law from Belfast so I know this may not happen ).

    Looking at the fixtures involved I would begrudgingly settle for 4 wins & 2 draws out of the 8 games , mainly as we have very little firepower up front & this puts all our games on a knife-edge even if we play well. This would take us practically to January, when real progress needs to be made, by Rodgers & FSG.

    Surely you have to have at least one attacker on the bench, even if they aren't quite ready like Morgan, Yesil or Ngoo. If god forbid, Suarez gets a knock, what do we do ?

    Quite a few headed goals from corners yesterday, including one by a Mexican of restricted height. Can't believe that infallible man-to-man marking system failing.

    I don't think write-off is the right phrase, but I do think it will be a transition season where we might have to accept no major success to reduce the age of the team, clear out a lot of dead wood & get the team working with the new manager's plans. I do however expect to see improvement from Xmas onward & to reach the latter stages of one of the 2 cups.
