  1. As long as we pass on the older lad, Pol.
  2. Still has some shortcomings to work on, but he has moved forward massively over the past year & in his last 4 major major tournaments he has won the US & the Olympics and been runner-up in the other two.
  3. I was very surprised to see a midfield starting line up for a physical cup tie that was without any of Gerrard, Lucas or Shelvey. Having said that with a slightly different run of the ball & a couple of different refereeing calls it could have been a comfortable win. Thought Henderson & Gerrard were very good.
  4. Most normal people would be devastated to be on a rape charge, the smirk he came out of court with spoke volumes for me.
  5. The only thing that redeems him slightly in my eyes, is that he seems to reserve a massive dislike for Arsenal that can only be matched by RIS on here.
  6. I am going to be controversial here & see how he does for us before making a judgement on him.
  7. Interested to see BBC Sport saying he was dominant in the air, which isn't really an aspect we see with the way our younger teams play. David Raven was also playing for Inverness.
  8. Managed to do all of the life-saving tests in the baths when I was 10 except for the old ' getting the rubber brick off the bottom of the six-foot end in your pyjamas 'but got the badge anyway as the assessors were more interested in the money they cost.
  9. Carra's Marsh lane in Bootle I think, Big Pricey is West Derby.
  10. Peter Crouch & Dean Whitehead come on for Stoke. Crouch came from Spurs & Whitehead from middle-Earth.
  11. I assume that he didn't think that he was a priority, or that he wasn't worth£15m, particularly if he wasn't going to be available for a CL tilt this season anyway.
  12. I can't believe the lad is retiring as a ballboy. 3 more years and he would have had a testimonial.
  13. A touch embarrassing but I seem to remember in the mists of time, a poll / thread on here about who was the better player Momo Sissoko or Ronaldinho.
  14. A pain in the arse, but realistically the figures were never going to add up for this one without some element of ppv. Not convinced Price v Fury is at ppv level at this point, but shows what a few demented comments about plumbers can do.
  15. I hate those Ladrokes ones with Kamara and that fucking idiot screaming like a loon. It's not funny in the slightest, it's just massively irritating.
  16. He actually seems to get in the way more than he helps. ( He did have that poor effort on the half-volley late on, but it was just a defender's knock-down from a cross )
  17. I'd back myself to get 10 a season with those supplying me, and I'm 52 & fat. I can't get my head around Torres' decline. He just seems useless & it's almost as if a Zingari League player has swapped bodies with him.
  18. Lovely to see Stevie putting his foot through a shot again. Has seemed a little bit ginger so far this season when in space outside the box.
  19. Pity the defender nicked the tap-in off Borini, but surely it was arguable that it was on its way in anyway so Sterling should get it.
  20. My main worry is that with 'white handkerchief' protests in the crowd & pissed-off players, this has become a gimme for Everton on Monday.
  21. Cruyff ? He's nearly 60 & smokes like a chimney, hardly fits the transfer parameters does he ?
  22. They say that it is a very dangerous position to be the first name on anybody's mobile phone list. Heard a story about a lad who in his cups found the bravery to text a girl from work with vivid descriptions of what he'd like to do with her, only to wake up to a text from his mate Aaron reading ' That's sounds great mate but lets just stick to 5 a-side for now '
  23. It was a joke Joey & from 10 months ago when we were suffering the death of a 1000 British cuts in the league games.
  24. Trust Moyes to show them up in his Top Man suit from the 80's
