  1. I once took home a mum of 5 who worked for me after a Christmas party a few years ago when I was wasted. She was pure filfth but it was like shagging a bucket. I woke up the next morning and she'd scratched me and bitten me so much it felt like I'd gone 10 rounds with a fucking lion. She also screamed so much she woke up all of my 3 housemates. After having a shower, I'd decided there were definitely going to be no repeats and made my way to work (in some pain) where I thought nobody would know what had gone on the night before. Unfortunately, we'd been seen jumping in a taxi and everybody did. Cue my boss giving me loads for it and warning me that there best hadn't be any repeats. The end result of that was at another works do a month later I stayed sober and ended up turning down the cutest 18 year old fittie you're ever likely to see who was throwing herself at me. She then got upset and everyone started talking about that instead. So ultimately, that one shit shag ended up costing me one I believe would have been far better and caused me loads of hassle.
  2. I've been critical of my boss at times but he's big enough to take it with no problems and even if he was the type who would try to sack me I'd be suing the company's arse for wrongful dismissal anyway. In my opinion, yes men are of no use whatsoever in normal business and certainly not in football. As far as I can see they only want to sack him because he's trying to demand that they spend money on us and that's the last thing they want to do. I think your post misses the point anyway. This isn't just Rafa v American gobshites. It is a battle for the whole future security of the club and any player who has the balls to say something that doesn't tow the party line whether it be by backing Rafa or being critical of the way that these lying cunts are running the club will go up massively in my estimation. Just as John Arne Riise has there even if I'm not that big a fan of him as a player.
  3. After your post the other day me and my mates tried to get that going on Tuesday. As you say it's easy to sing and straight to the point
  4. I have a couple of questions on what you've said. First of all, and this is purely from a devil's advocate position and in no way a comparison between the two men. You mention that Shanks always stated that the league was our bread and butter. From the 1966-67 season to 1971-1972 season we won nothing at all. Not the league, not the FA Cup, not any European trophies, not even the league cup. In them circumstances, would you have also wanted him to be replaced? Secondly, I've got a query about the players you mentioned. Which of the players you've mentioned do you believe were top class? For me, there was Hyppia, Gerrard and Owen with Carragher and Finnan as good players. Carra has developed immeasurably under Rafa in my opinion largely due to being given a chance at centre half and Owen was a non-starter anyway as he was always going to leave ("when Real Madrid come calling" and all that shite). In my opinion, of the others Riise and Kewell (in the state he's been in for years) would not get a look in at Chelsea, Arsenal or United and the fact that Heskey is scoring about 6 goals a season at Wigan say all that needs to be said. It's also worth noting that the rest of the team was awful and Cisse, Traore, Baros, Smicer, Diao, Diouf, Le Tallec, Cheyrou etc all needed to be shipped out. Rafa has made some poor signings but so has Wenger, Ferguson and Mourinho. I'm also in the position of giving him the benefit of the doubt on this season so far due to all the shit he has had to deal with because he has made mistakes and at times we have been awful. However, in his defence if you were to pick out the top class players in our squad now that would consistently play elsewhere in my opinion you have Reina, Carragher, Agger, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard and Torres along with other good quality squad players in Arbeloa, Benayoun, Crouch, Babel, Hyypia and Aurelio. As a whole that's far stronger than the team he took over. Mentioning winning trophies on penalties is a bit silly too as to win a trophy you just don't need to win one match and you could similarly argue that two finals he lost contained an own goal and a deflection off a player who knew nothing about what was going on. With everything else you've said I either agree or am taking it from a wait and see point of view.
  5. I couldn't stop supporting the club because it's part of me. What I would say (and I know I'm not the only person who feels this way) is that I'm becoming more and more disillusioned with both the club and football in general. The club and football used to exist for the people but now it exists to make the rich and corrupt even richer. The way things are headed I'll always support the club but with cunts in charge at the top, potentially a cunt in charge as manager and rising ticket prices it will be a lot harder to love it the way I always have done in the past.
  6. I love Jamie Carragher, the fucking legend. By the way, I've not seen it here or anywhere else but one of the blues in work reckons he was on the radio this morning speaking out about how disgraceful the owners have been.
  7. Instead of just waiting for Inter we should get that started tonight. Too short notice for banners but not for the singing. Make it a regular thing so the media and this pair of cunts are in no doubts of our position.
  8. First of all, I don't believe that he or anybody would win us the league with the gobshites we have running our club. Secondly, he's only interested in becoming our manager for his own vanity and is a first class cunt. Thirdly, even if (and this is one hell of an if) he did win us the league then listening to him gloating about how he achieved it while those before him didn't for all eternity would be fucking nauseating. As would the constant media circus we'd have to listen to while he achieved it. Fourth, the thought of a humble man like Rafa losing his job and being replaced by his nemesis (who in case you haven't noticed I don't like too much) is just sickening. Fifth, only the sight of Sam Allardyce in the Liverpool dugout would make my blood boil more. That's pretty much my whole position on the man.
  9. That's the best way. I won't back blindly but it brought the horse to my attention and once I looked through the form I fancied it to win big time. Just found out I need to verify my account with Paypal before donating to the site. I'll make sure I pay that as soon as I've done that though.
  10. I had 30 quid on Bywell Beau at 4/1. Bob you are a fucking legend. I shall also be making a donation to Dave for the site.
  11. For me it'll be the moment Vladi's long range shot spun off Dida's hand into the net. I'd just finished saying to my mate that Milan would shit themselves if we scored another one quickly and I was convinced from then that trophy would be ours. It also gave me the excuse to nearly throttle the gobshite next to me in the Ataturk that had been giving him abuse while disguising it as celebrating.
  12. Rafa has been quoted as saying that we would need to do things nearly perfectly to win the league and I agree with him. The problem is, as you have said, we have signed players who aren't at the level required (some nowhere near it) in the past couple of years and while I don't have a great knowledge of our scouting system there must be somebody culpable for some of the shite we have brought in. The obvious answer is Rafa but I would also hold the scouts who looked at players like Kuyt at least equally responsible. The situation as I see it is if you take Gerrard and Torres out of our team we are mid-table standard. The stat about Bramble scoring the same number of goals since Christmas than our other 8 out-field players on show against Wigan had all season said it all. The most worrying thing is that we're now relatively skint while Arsenal, Chelsea and United all have money to spend. This pains me to say more than anything but I honestly don't feel that any manager in the world would win the league with our club in its current state. As a club, we are at a crossroads now and if the right decisions aren't made this year we could we be on the verge of going back to the days when the media talked about the 'Big Three' as they did until 25 May 2005. We were put back on to the map that night and winning the FA cup and making another Champions League final since has kept us there. I think we need to remember who we need to thank for that. If this team breaks up and we have no money to replace outgoing players then how long will it be until we experience anything like that again? Despite the mistakes that Rafa has made we need to look at how far behind Arsenal, Chelsea and United we were 4 years ago when we fought with Newcastle for the last Champions League spot until the second last match of the season and had a European record that included being knocked out by teams such as Basle, Celtic and Marseille in recent times. Then we need to ask ourselves whether he has under-achieved as Liverpool manager when the money we have spent is compared to the other top 3 clubs because even in the league I don't believe he has. In 2004, Newcastle had finished just below us having finished comfortably above us the season before and sacked Bobby Robson because their expectations of what they should achieve where far higher than the club was capable of. We laugh at them now but we need to remember that it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could end up going their way rather than in the direction some seem to believe we would do if we change manager and start all over again.
  13. To turn it around, which of the recent goals do you think he should have saved? And if you can't name any is it his fault that the only goals that have gone in are unstoppable? Personally, I think he's ace and not just that but based on recent performances he could also teach some of our outfield players a bit about passing the ball.
  14. Personally, I've didn't rate him even before his injury problems. Every time he plays against a decent winger he gets found out and I'd be majorly pissed off if we spent 6 million on him.
  15. He seems like such a nice fella that I really wanted him to succeed but for all the work he puts into it he just doesn't have the level of ability required. If we had 2 top class strikers in our team instead of one we could quite conceivably have turned the 0-0 draws against Pompey, City, Birmingham and Blackburn into wins and we'd be in a title race right now. As it is we drew them because Torres didn't play in 3 of them and was a bit off-colour in the other. If we had any money then that would be my priority but unfortunately as it seems we haven't I don't think our current team will ever be given the opportunity to take the next step forward. As a side-note, the scout who recommended Kuyt should be shown the door. With the way Rafa likes to play you can picture him teling the scouts he wanted a hard working striker who scores goals and Dirk being an easy answer with his record in Holland. However, any scout worth their salt would surely have looked at his first touch and wondered if he had what it takes to do it in England.
  16. If the word gobshite ever makes it into the dictionary it should have his photo next to the definition. It was him who signed Smith, Barton, Viduka and a load of shite defenders I'd never heard of so it's his fault if none of them are any good. If Moyes ever left Goodison he'd be made for that club.
  17. Is the poll going to be secure or is it just going to be an open link for Mancs and blue noses to have a field day with?
  18. He can take a free kick but other than that he's shit.
  19. I think we'll finish second this season but with all the off-field problems I'm not so sure we'll be as close next time. It's not unthinkable that we could challenge. I don't think we're a great side at all but I'm not convinced any of the other teams are consistently great either.
  20. I'm well happy with this draw. A big enough team that we won't under-estimate them but very beatable as well.
  21. It's not the Americans I blame for this. They both have a record of being a pair of opportunistic cunts who are on the make so they were never going to be anything different but I will never forgive Moores or Parry for selling us (and their souls) to the devil. I've long been resigned to the fact that the club will end up in massive debt so articles like these neither shock or surpise me anymore. By the way, does anyone remember a piece in the pink Echo by Bascombe at the end of last season about his Liverpool predictions for the next year? It was said tongue in cheek but the debt, lack of transfer money, no new stadium and Benitez leaving all look like they're all coming true.
  22. I thought he was our best player last night. I'd start him on Saturday and then again in a month or so's time when he's recovered from the injury he'll pick up.
  23. For what it's worth, I agree with you. The overall picture of what is going on behind the scenes at our club right now stinks. I have a major fear of us ending up in a second-rate, soulless, big stadium with a board who'll sack the manager at the first disagreement invevitably leading to a shite team. If this relatively young team and manager were left alone I believe we would challenge for top honours for years to come. If Rafa goes for non-footballing reasons and the team starts to break up I think we really could be on the road to becoming another Newcastle. That might sound dramatic but in all honesty who can say our board are better equipped to harness the potential of a club with large support than their recent boards have been? At least Rick will still be in a job and David will have his extra millions to keep him company anyway. :notamused:
  24. In some ways, you do make your own luck. If you get in the position for 6 good chances and one deflects in you've earned that slice of luck. On the flip side, if one team gets 5 chances and scores none while another team has one shot that goes in due to a deflection is it down to tactics that were planned or just poor finishing and luck? There were games in the last 3 years were we deserved nothing particularly United and Arsenal away last year but similarly our record would be comparable with any of their's if we had taken the chances when we had them in many of the other games. I'd also say our performances against Chelsea this season and United last season were as good as any we have had in the Champions League with the exception that in Europe we've just taken our chances while in the league we can't say that.
