  1. Duck face has tweeted this ........"By the way I never told Howard Webb to send Gerrard off I just said I thought it was a 2 footed tackle..."............CUNT
  2. I remember getting a 10p mix and it would always include a golf ball chewing gum which would be saved till last. Other sweets included in said mix were foam shrimps, foam bananas, mojos, fruit salad, chocolate mice, fried eggs, blackjacks and little jelly pints of beer !!!
  3. Used to love making rope swings in trees , jumping out of the tree on the swing , how I never hit the tree and killed myself I will never know British Bulldog on the school yard at break time We werent allowed to play footy on the yard at break so would use anything we could think of as a substitute for a ball ....A crushed coke can, a big stone, or the best one if we could get it was the tops of a keg of beer .....sighs !!!! Used to also love lighting fires on the local field , bu would get home and my Mum would be like " have you been lighting fires" ....I would obviously deny it and it would be "Well why do your clothes stink of smoke and your handsare black .......Go and get a bath ..and your grounded@ How bad was getting Grounded , it was possibly the worst punsihment ever .. give me a smack and get it over with, just please dont ground me !!
  4. The Atari 2600 was the fist console I had, altho I had the newer version (shown below) ..Pitfall was brilliant, I remember on level where you had to jump on crocodiles heads to get accross the river ..ACE Didnt even tell her about the amstrad with the Green screen, that you had to load the games into a seperate TAPE PLAYER !!
  5. haha oh Dear indeed I was also talking about when you used to get a tape and tape the charts off the radio, and hit pause when the adverts were on etc ...Also mentioned you had to stick little bits of paper or cellotape over the non recordable ones, ...she looked truly flabergasted and actually said " I could never have lived in them times" ...I kid you not !!
  6. Just all been chatting away at work and a young girl on the team said "Imagine life witout mobile phones" - which was met with mixed reaction from different members of the group It then got us older ones ( I am 31) reminising about 'the good old days' Few things we mentioned You could never text your mate to see if they were coming out, so you would always walk round to their house and knock for them, if the Mum answered the door and said they were having their tea, you would sit on the corner waiting for them to finish and come out One other way we used to keep ourselves amused was to play conkers, you would spend a day in the local park/cemetary throwing a big stick in a tree and getting as many conkers down as you could. You would then come up with ingenious ways of making them harder...nail varnish, vinegar etc ...sticking them in a dark cupboard etc till the next year Top loading Video players -now the way we have things stacked on top of each other - DVD player, Sky Box, playstation. You could never have anything on top of these as they ejected upwards Big old Teles, weighed a tonne, had buttons that you had to pressin to turn over, had knobs that went up and down for vloume, brightness, colour etc ..They always had wooden sides too We talked about loads more but though I would pass it over to the GF and see what other memories of the GOOD OLD DAYS they could come up with
  7. Anyone got a Sopcast Link - Cheers
