  1. Just in from watching "Black Book" a dutch film about the resistance and really good, not just the usual dutch good germans bad routine had good and bad of both
  2. Not on the cookies front but I bought some prezzies with amazon on Monday, just been looking for likely delivery date, all goods are in stock, and I'm being quoted Dec 22 or 23rd, cutting it fine. If anyone is thinking of buying online it could be time to get it sorted quick
  3. says sold out now. Agree with all those who state can never get through, even online with the fancard no matter how early you try they have sold out before you are even comfortable at your chair. Does anyone know how many tickets they have for the differrent categories of sale because if its just a few then I'll save my(firms)phone bill and buy off a tout
  4. what if the chief of merseyside police had to be elected? Or the Chief of any district for that matter. Would we think that would mean them dealing with things that matter to local people or would central govt still find a way to f##k it all up.
  5. can always remember the pairs of lawrensons that I used to get from the army and navy just down the road from jack sharpes, best boots ever
  6. just had some done with tesco in their store but they also do an online service, price depends on number but quality ok and done while shopping. About 7p a print 6x4 if you get 100 done
  7. whatever don't go to T-mobile, just cancelled my deals with them, Uk call centre but staffed by about 2 people who have no leeway when it comes to keeping custom and it just looks as if they don't want your business. Got a month to sort out new contracts and was thinking of orange to be honest as their online deals looked ok, lots of 1/2 price rental
  8. Altea is a pretty little place but gets very crowded of an evening now and most places are now just pizza joints and twee gift shops. Even north of there is going downhill places such as calpe, moraraira and even Javea. Still like Valencia though great nightlife and beaches and about 45mins to an hour north of Alicante by train
  9. think the museum of liverpool life is shut for a refurb, but not opening in 2008 as you might have guessed but 2010. Could suggest the maritime museum and though I haven't been the williamson tunnels might be a weird but interesting day out
  10. Not too good on this maths stuff but does that look as if we have to do better than last year to keep our ranking up, we drop 22 points from 5 seasons ago and received 17 last season. The Mancs will lose out on top seedings unless they do really well as they have to replace 28 points, was that a semi? Chavs will replace them, they only got 8 points 5 seasons ago and should do much better this year. AC Milan might still keep their top seeding if they only have a year out of the champs league, Juve look like they'll struggle as they will probably need 3 years before gaining any points
  11. Took the kids, they enjoyed it. For once its the adults getting restless asking when is it over. There is a good 110 minute film in there, just a pity it lasts 150mins
  12. can only concur went there with a gang of lads in january great bars to go with the great beer and also very cheap for beer, food and transport. couldn't fault the place and only about hour and a half from jla as well
  13. two good french films this year, the beat that my heart skipped, its the french remaking a hollywood film for a change but doing it with so much style. The other is cache (hidden) leaves you asking loads of questions and is just out on dvd
  14. For Arsenal, if they fail to get into champs league, Henry goes and so does their title ambitions for next year. Utd will be much the same as now as they will strengthen, believe that the chavs will not do as well, they will buy but will not get the players they really want as maureen is too much of a tw*t. Cannot really see players going there to be benched, plenty of reports of bust ups there and others are getting closer to them. Honestly think that we really now are one or two quality players away from winning the bloody thing, decent results against those 2 and its ours. Even winning the 2 home games would have us 8 points closer to the top and 3 points close to utd. Honestly believe we'll be in with a shout next year
  15. It's getting tired now. My kids have just got me watching Family Guy and although its been around a long time for me its new and its funny as f*ck. Box sets of series 1-3 at £9.99 on amazon as well
  16. An oldie David moyes takes the team for their pre match meal, the waitress come up and starts taking his order "I'll have Steak and chips please" says moyes "and for the vegetables?" "They'll have the same as me"
  17. There are technical problems with the product. It says that it will only play region 2 (Europe), must be some mistake as Everton don't play in Europe
  18. Was there a few weeks back and went on a tour free berlin tourshere they look for tips at the end but is worth 5 euros or so. Anyway we were shown round by a lovely female history student who pointed out the location of the reichs chancellory which would have been just behind the Holocaust memorial. but you are right nothing to see of it as this prime piece of land right next to emabassies etc is a housing estate.
  19. There is an Irish Bar (big surprise) right under the hackesscher markt ubahn station that has all games on. Lots of good bars in that area as well, served by trams also. Some good kebab shops right round the corner as well
  20. Ref was on 606 and he was saying something along the lines of officials don't just rely on the flag to communicate they have some sort of radio buzzer and he stated that the lino thought it was hand ball. Almost certain heard him say drogba was booked but with the kids talking couldn't follow too clearly. Glad to see him book Terry late on as well for surrounding the lino after the gallas sending off though he made too many steps towards Terry instead of sending him off for continuously walking away despite being called over.
  21. Also like the work that he put in. He trcaked back well om a number of ocassions especially giving Oleguer (?) a start winning the ball and then causing Oleguer to chop him down. No yellow card but should have been. When subbed it was noted the hard work that he had put in. Looks a good buy that will be better for the pre season
  22. From the highlights he actually did look ok going forward, defensively I still worry when I see him anywhere near the ball.
