  1. That was very amusing on Sat - I would not want to get on the wrong side of you
  2. From the guy I pay to get info from - I hope he is wrong over the 2 legs: LIVERPOOL - CHELSEA We all know pretty much all there is to know about these two sides and only the line ups, remain in some doubt. Gerrard, Lampard and Drogba, have all been struggling, but the first two will play for sure and I would be surprised if the last named didn't get some playing time. Definitely out is the suspended Michael Essien and having been Chelsea's best player recently, he will be sorely missed. Incredibly, this is the third time that these teams have met, at the semi-final stage of Europe's premier club competition and the Reds lead 2-0. Like all the previous meetings, the match tonight is likely to be very tight, with the Blues relying on what they do best, which is defend. They have 29 clean sheets from 47 starts, only conceding more than one goal on three occasions, just once, on an away ground. Not that much motivation is needed in a CL semi final, but with the final in Moscow, this is the one that Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich really wants and what Oligarchs want, they normally get. I will say no more on that, but I do expect it to be third time lucky for the London side and for them to progress over the two legs, getting any major decisions in their favour. Feel that the best bet this evening is the draw, even Liverpool's priority will be not to concede.I will also put a put up bet on the total bookings, which is offered by many bookmakers and there appears value in taking Liverpool to collect more points ( 10 for a yellow, 25 for a red card). In the four previous meetings at this stage of the competition, this bet would have been a winner in three, including in both legs at Anfield, with the fourth being a tie. Chelsea already have eight players on one yellow card, as opposed to Pool's three, so will surely be more disciplined, which is a further bonus. 4.5 points draw 3.10 general quote. 3.5 points Liverpool to collect more bookings points 3.0 general quote.
  3. Isnt that John Travlolta in Pulp Fiction?
  4. If you want to get really simple, download Network Magic - very easy to use and gives you a decent graphical portrait of the network
  5. Thank Christ for that. BBC TV really need a kick up the arse with their TV coverage. Another decent article from F365: Football365.com - Footballers: Really Not Flawless Gods... - John Nicholson - Football365 News
  6. I would put Souness in that bracket as well. Also like Chris Waddle on 5 Live.
  7. YouTube - TORRES SONG - THE KOP - LIVERPOOL v NEWCASTLE
  8. You gotta remember as well that Jocky could simply pass the ball back to Brucie if he was in trouble which Sami cant.
  9. Is that 7 subs rule definitely in place or just being talked about?
  10. From my bookie mates: tip: Gower Song 16.40 at Nad Al Sheba tomorrow, still get 40/1 e.g. Ladbrokes
  11. Just gone for the England draw myself - 9/4 decent odds
  12. Good thread this - agree with most of the comments here. We really have to place an emphasis on pace in the summer. Cant think of many pacy full backs around to be honest but they are so important in todays game
  13. Had a few mates who were heavily into it - entered Vegas tournaments etc. They only play face to face now whereas a few yrs ago, they made a lot of money from the Internet side of things. When I asked why they switched, they said that when the US banned most of the sites, most of the US muppets went away. When playing for decent money on European tables, you come up against some very good players. Not profitable in the long run.
  14. From by bookie mates in Malta - all of them trade the horses Tips from the Horses mouth as it were. Remember prices are generally strong at big festivals like this so I wouldn't go big. 12.30 King of Angels - can get 66/1 !!! 1.05 Pomme Tiepy - 5/1 2.20 Voy Por Ustedes 3/1 4.05 Mighty Matters - generally 12/1 4.40 Onnix 12/1 good luck
  15. Cheers Bob - much appreciated. I will be there - will let you know how I did on Weds
  16. Hope not - I have a fair bet on him to score anytime at Evens
  17. I also feel completely sick. Had 20 quid each way on Brian Gay in the US golf at 80/1. Or thought I did. Went to check my victorchandler account and no sign of the bet. Not a clue why. He is leading by 5 shots with one round left. I really hopes he collapeses in the last round.
  18. I will give you an example. David Howell - European golf at the weekend. He shot 2 under for the first round but was 4 shots off the lead. He has been injured for a while but used to be European No 1. Looked at his odds on Betfair - 90 to 1. Stuck a tenner on him. After round 2, he is just 2 shots off the lead. Price is now 18/1. Still very unlikely he would win so I thought I would at least get the tenner I bet on him back. So I laid him off on Betfair - I basically acted like a bookie and took a 10 pound bet at 18/1. so if he did win, I would have to give back 180 quid of my overall 900 quid winnings. He came way down the field in the end. Only problem with laying off is that you need to have the money in your Betfair account i.e. you need to deposit 180 quid there and then so as to cover the outcome. That is where you make your money in the long run though (if you have enough funds).
  19. When Barca played Chelsea a while back, Barca left 3 in the centre circle. Chelsea did not have a clue what to do.
  20. Heard from my bookmaker mates last night that Hughes is having an interview with the Geordies today. Not saying he is going to take or get the job but a lot of money being invested by the pros on it (over 5mn on Betfair when I last looked)
  21. This is direct from Slovakia - I have a Slovakian mate and he has texted his cousins - this was their reply... Just got a brief text message. Zenit's best defender. Good in the air no-nonsense type defender. Not especially quick. Gets quite a lot of yellows. Probably similar vein to Hyypia/Agger. Russian league of reasonable standard so he should be decent although probably nothing special.
  22. That is what my bookie mates have said. Seriously there was a hell of a lot of money on that game. In a bookmaking office in Malta that I know, there was over 25k bet by the staff themselves. Deadly silence when that 89th min goal went in.
  23. Not a great day for me. I am fuming after Brechin, who were 2 nil up with 6 mins to go, let in 2 goals for the draw.
  24. By the way, Brechin is a huge bet in the industry at the moment. Only thing is the pitch up there is very dodgy and the game was at threat of being called off.
