  1. I quite like Fulham as a football club. As someone mentioned early, it is a very pleasant place to go and watch a game but there is a level of respectability about the club and Hodgson that I really admire. I must say that their win against Newcastle, which is the polar opposite of Fulham as clubs go, brought a smile to my face. I also think that the right back Paintsil is an excellent player. Fulham will do well to hold onto him and Hangeland in the summer.
  2. Forgot about that. Here is a link if anyone wants to watch. It will end with geordie twats crying or smoggies crying or both. Win, win, methinks. Link to game
  3. Plastic flags all over the shop. I thought they were broke! They have obviously given up on the scarf twirling.
  4. When the season ends, Chelsea might not get the man they want and Abramovich might twist his arm to stay on and do a job for next season. A nice bundle of cash for the Russian FA from Abramovich would keep them happy. I wouldnt rule out Hiddink being there next season until a new manager is signed, sealed and delivered. Abramovich really likes the guy and as we have seen in the past, that is the prime criteria for the manager's job there. I was told that Rikjaard is being recommended for Man City job and will replace Hughes. Ancelotti is the only name I have heard mentioned in relation to Chelsea. Berlusconi has been softening up those at AC for his departure at the end of the season for the last few weeks, so he is definitely on the move. Berlusconi on Ancelotti leaving.
  5. Agree. I have a sneaky feeling that Hiddink might stay when push comes to shove. He is a smart man and knows that this Chelsea squad has a massive chance of winning the league and the CL with minor adjustments on the player front. Abramovich will give him the financial backing. If he stays, they will be extremely difficult to beat in the race for the league. They won 13 away games already this season and it is their home form that messed up their challenge. He inherited a shambles when Scolari left and has turned it around. I would be more worried about Chelsea user Hiddink than the mancs next season in all honesty. I think it would be best for us if he moved back to Holland to spend time with his wife and managed Russia on the side. I think Chelsea will have a settling in period with a new manager which is in our interests. With Hiddink in charge they could/will hit the ground running.
  6. That is very interesting. I did some consultancy work for them a while ago (last year) and there was no cost cutting. Never struck me as that sort of company when I dealt with them. I doubt that there is that much of a slump in the gaming industry. I am sure that there are plenty of people out there with money that they are willing to gamble away. As for paying out. Im sure the sympathy vote will bring in some extra Chelsea custom. Clever bit of business from PP.
  7. I hate Chelsea as much as anyone, I really cant stand them but being honest they were screwed last night. If it was us, there would be petitions flying around, left, right and centre and all sorts of alleged anti-LFC agendas from UEFA been suggested. On a side note, I have to say that Hiddink's post matach interview was exceptional. The manner in which he conducted himself under what must have been such emotionally difficult circumstances should be used as an example to every manager in the game. I have an awful lot of time for him as a manager. It's a pity he manages Chelsea.
  8. It looks like Athens part II, in terms of ticketing and it was always going to be that way once we had a sniff of a chance of winning the league when the ticket sales commenced. The touts and travel agents will have the times of their lives with this one. No recession for those 2 groups.

    Arteta

The same Dave, told me yday, that his mother-in-law saw Alonso buying bread and milk, in Tesco. Is Rafa going to sell Xabi to Everton??? He even posed for a photo with someone at the checkout, by all accounts.
  10. I think the above will be the case. As you correctly said, we need 4 centre backs. Following recent trends, I cant see either of the youngsters mentioned being blooded in to any great extent. They may get a handful of minor appearances in the likes of the Carling cup but they wont get a run of games in the PL. I dont know who we could go for and it wont be cheap. We certainly wont get as good a buy as we did with Sami, that I am fairly certain of, in terms of value for money. Hangeland has been very impressive for Fulham this year but would be very pricey and I suspect other clubs would be looking for him this summer.
  11. Nah, Leinster is the southside of Dublin. D4 is the hub as someone else said. I was happy to see them win as I am sick to death of all this Munster shite. Im not a rugger fan but it still does my head in.
  12. There was definitely booing from a percentage of the crowd. Another step into the world of classlessness from our support.
  13. They are beyond awful. I cant remember seeing a team that bad. Relegation teams usually run themselves ragged but this lot dont even bother their arse. If I was a Newcastle fan and I would be fucking livid with them.
  14. Stream This one works perfectly for me. Commentary is in English.
  15. Cant see anything but an easy win today. They are awful.
  16. Wouldnt even risk him against them. They are too sh1te. Give him the extra weeks rest for the far tougher West Ham away game. Game will be over within the hour. Even if they get the chances that Arsenal got, I think their strikers are so low on confidence that they couldnt even finish 1 of them.
  17. Arsenal couldnt get a visa for him. Thats why that fell through. I cant believe we are being linked with him, unless he has improved massively as a player and moreso as a replacement for Xabi. He will clock up yellow cards left, right and centre with his tackling. This lad will give Fellani a run for his money with his cards per game ratio.
  18. I dont think Fulham would be on for that but it would be a brilliant result for us. Hangelund has been excellent for Fulham this year and Fulham have played well above their usual standard. I am worried about our centre half situation with Sami going and the fact that Agger is likely to go also. We could end up light in that area.
  19. No chance. It only takes 30 mins to fly to Dublin from Liverpool flying into the westerly runway. You wouldnt even reach cruising altitude flying from Humberside to J. Lennon in a jet. I just assumed he made a mistake when he said it on MOTD. Beyond ridiculous, if true.
  20. 4 shots, 4 on target and 4 goals. I see what you mean, he had an awful game.
  21. Are you being a little bit biast in your view perhaps? Like him or not the guy was fucking awesome for about 5-6 seasons in a row.
  22. He won they FA Cup already with Millwall, bet ya didnt know that. I thought they lost the final that year myself.
  23. I think some of you lot are on drugs or something. I can live with United and Chelsea getting to finals and winning trophies. I can accept it to some extent because they have sides with top players but if Everton win the FA Cup and we end up with nothing, I will be sick. It was bad enough that they got to the new Wembley before us but winning a trophy in it, fucking hell no.
  24. Here is a pic of the 2 of them. She gets her looks from her mother's side obviously.
  25. Agree, Arshavin has also settled in very well and looks excellent.
