    Regretted never going there but I went to a Fenerbahce game last season. The atmosphere was immense. I have never experienced anything like it. The noise was incredible for the whole 90 mins and when the crowd bounced the stand was shaking. Atmosphere outside the ground was fantastic as well. Real party atmosphere. Mate of my misses lives out there now and goes to most home games and we are planning on going to the derby next season. Fuck knows what that will be like.

    Id like to see Forlan win it also. He carried that team last season and was excellent in the WC.

    That is the station alright. Right beside the ground. A horrible soulless shithole of a ground, which epitomises everything that is wrong with the modern game. God, I really don't miss going to places like that.

    Ok, so the new potential owners could be financially and ethically sound and could run the could very well for the foreseeable future but might not have the time or consider it an appropriate use of their time to have a meeting or even regular meetings with the union. Which are better, new owners who run the club well and tell the union to do one, or new owners who meet with them, give them a token position of no real value at the club but run the club like sh1t? Are meetings with the union a prerequisite for any new owner? There was a major shitstorm when Broughton wouldnt meet with them but by the looks of things, he has done the job he was brought in to do. Its just that I am getting the feeling that the union expect anyone who has any dealings with the club to meet with them now, as part of some sort of approval process. This could do far more harm than good and it could even put off a very suitable potential owner.

    That changes everything. If I was you, I would chose Tokyo since you have to go with your family. Tehran is also a brilliant city to visit, surprisingly but its not really a family place.

    He has no room for error at Inter. In my opinion, he has to win Serie A this season and progress to the later stages of the CL minimum. Anything less will see him getting the boot. If he fails to progress past the group stages of the CL, he will be run out of Milan by an angry mob.

    I think the Republicans will get in next time. Obama will run for a 2nd term. If they can find any half decent candidate and get Palin to prop him up, they will get in. Sarah Palin holding any sort of real power at national level is a tremendously scary thought and could very well lead to the end of the world. I still would do her though. She is sex on legs.

    It was very noticeable how unpopular he has become with middle America when I was over there recently. They now look on him as nothing more than a PR monkey who is all talk. I personally never had any time for him and don't see him getting another term.

    I think Huang is being very clever here. He has requested a meeting with SOS, so he is taking the lead role. Id imagine that he has had someone monitoring SOS all along and the way they work and knows what they are all about. I reckon that it could 'transpire' that his vision for the club could be isomorphic to that of the union during this meeting by design, if anything. This will lead to a massive swell in support for him from the fans, which in turn could lead to Huang getting the club for his asking price or even lower. Once he gets the club, his actual plan would come to the fore and people will find out what he is actually all about. If he turns out to be another conman then SOS are in a bit of a pickle, as they backed his buyout. If they protest about his actions, he and the media can simply say that they backed him. Personally, I believe that anyone who is rich enough to buy the club is an extremely business savvy person who invests in the club for one reason and one reason only, making shit loads of money. I wouldnt trust any of them, one iota.

    He has no control over transfers at Inter. His campaign to gain control should start after their first loss. I have a feeling that it wont be as successful in Italy.

    Yes but I would assume that your end goal is to become the majority shareholder. The fact that the miminum investment amount decreased to 10% of what originally was says an awful lot to me. Dont get me wrong Graham, I wish you all the best with it but it just doesnt add up.

    Yes, they will need to be very clever to get what they want. People saying they will give £5k of their savings and people actually giving it, are 2 completely different things.

    What a greedy bastard. He should be delighted to get the chance to move to a club with guaranteed european football after relegation with Hull. I see Celtic have given him the chance to re-consider.

    Agree with you on the title. Also, if he doesn't get out of the group stages of the CL, he wont last the season. However, he hasn't a hope with the Italian media, in my opinion. They rarely take to non-Italian managers. Italians are arrogant when it comes to football management, they believe they are the only people on the planet who can do it properly. If he starts politicking over there, he will be in bother, big time.

    Thank you for posting that. Add the fact that he is 2 or 3 years younger to that also. However, the lad is bonkers and is one of those players that needs to be loved and he certainly wont get that from the current management at the club. I have been told that he is getting the floor in his kitchen removed and is getting it replaced with a giant fish tank. Some people have way too much money.

    Firstly, the current Inter team has plenty of players who are well into their 30s. Players under his management, never seem to fall out of form, that is one thing that really impresses me about him. If you watch the aftermath of the final last night, every single player came over and hugged him like he was their own father. Anyone who has ever worked with him speaks very highly of him. If he came to us instead of Chelsea years ago, everyone here would love him to bits. Its all Gronkjaers fault. I think he will mirror Del Bosque at Real in that he will be there for 2 or 3 seasons, win a CL and a league or 2 amongst other things and get the boot as a result of his style of play.

    Football management is a completely different kettle of fish, failure as a manager is the norm. In the real world, you could destroy your career as that failure will hang over you wherever you go, esp. if the position was senior or public.

    I think not. I presume you are thinking about the negative side of things there. Im sure every football managers contract contains performance related bonus clauses in the positive sense.
