  1. Yeah, it all looks like Alonso is waiting for the Madrid job to become available.
  2. Alphonso Davies of Bayern is supposed to be their priority that summer, but he too would be on a Bosman so it’s probably not impossible they could do both transfers. Trent is a fantastic player, but I have a feeling he would regret moving there, I don’t think he would play all that often. Their spoilt twat fans certainly wouldn’t appreciate him the way we do.
  3. Real Madrid are committed to signing Mbappe and Endrick this summer, I’d be surprised if there will be much money left to sign anyone else. Mbappe is getting a €120m signing on fee, and Endrick is apparently costing them €60m.
  4. We have won 4 and drawn 1 of our 12.30 kickoffs this season, and the only draw was the Sky game against City. Where BT/TNT are taking the piss is that all but one of our 12.30 games have been away, and often straight after an international break. This has been going on for quite some time as well. If we’re in contention for the title though, you have to expect every one of our matches from March onwards to be televised, and at least one of those is going to end up being a BT 12.30 game. I like the fact Klopp hasn’t been kicking off about these games this season, he’s accepted he can’t do anything about it, and I think the team’s approach has been better because of this.
  5. Cracking funny Steve Bruce story from Shanklys Ghost, and some of the usual crazy stuff from Saturday Shopper……….,,,,,,,,,
  6. The Premier League disciplinary panel react to this news.
  7. Looks decent from that trailer, and I like the premise with it being set between Alien and Aliens. Hope of a first decent film in the series since those first two brilliant films.
  8. Pedalling the lie that the “sly six” tried to leave the PL as well and wasn’t pulled up on it.
  9. What a load of contradictory twaddle. Nobody is going out of business in the PL? His own club is £1bn in debt and will be in serious peril if a takeover isn’t completed imminently.
  10. Forest docked 4 points for failing PSR. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/18/nottingham-forest-docked-four-points-premier-league-financial-rules-breach-profitability-and-sustainability
  11. Forest docked 4 points for not meeting PSR in their accounts for last season. Something else for the shite to cry conspiracy about.
  12. I’d like us to play AC Milan in the final if we get there, that’s a proper European final, and we’ve never had any shit with their fans.
  13. Keys also had this to say about how Guardiola had treated a Be-In reporter: Richard Keys has accused Pep Guardiola of treating a reporter 'like a piece of s**t' following Man City's draw with Liverpool on Sunday. Guardiola's side walked away with a point after the thrilling clash at Anfield, where Alexis Mac Allister's penalty cancelled out John Stones' first-half strike. The City boss would've been disappointed to leave without a win and apparently, according to Keys, made that clear during one post-match interview. In his blog, Keys claimed that Guardiola acted like a 'disgrace' towards beIN Sports reporter Andy Kerr following the clash at Anfield. Keys wrote: 'What is it with this guy? Guardiola was just plain rude to our reporter - the excellent Andy Kerr. If I’d been Kerr I’d have shut the interview down and walked away. And I told him as much afterwards. ‘Guardiola was a disgrace. He couldn’t be bothered. He offered nothing - just one-word answers and a daft smile. He looked at Kerr like he was a piece of s**t on his shoe. He did the same last week. In fact - he does the same most weeks. 'Guardiola only talks to journos because he’s contracted to do so. He let his feelings about us be known at a press conference last week. ‘But here’s the thing Senor Guardiola. We’re all trying to do a job - just like you. Nobody, whilst doing that job, deserves to be ridiculed by you. 'Andy Kerr deserved better Sunday, not because you have a contractual obligation to speak to him - but because you have a moral obligation to treat him - and others - with manners and respect.' Keys brought into reference Guardiola's outburst during a recent post-match press conference - where he took a cheeky jibe at journalists. Speaking after City's victory over Brentford last month, Guardiola said: 'I am a manager. My life is better than yours. But nothing personal with you.' Elsewhere on the day, Guardiola reflected on Kevin De Bruyne's angry reaction to being substituted - to which he said he was 'happy' with the response. De Bruyne was sacrificed to regain control as Liverpool swarmed the City penalty area in the second half, and looked furious as he took his seat on the bench. 'I'm happy to see that!' said Guardiola. 'I like it if he's upset, it's good. He's happy now. I knew what we were missing, we missed keeping the ball. 'After (he went off) we did it better. But, listen, Kevin… what can I say for Kevin… we need him and he is important.'
  14. Paul Joyce’s article from The Times: Michael Edwards returns to Liverpool to lead post-Jürgen Klopp era Edwards back at Anfield as head of football — Bournemouth’s Richard Hughes will be sporting director from this summer after German manager departs Premier League Michael Edwards will help to shape the post-Jürgen Klopp era at Liverpool after agreeing to return in a high-powered role in which he will head football operations for club owner Fenway Sports Group. One of his first tasks will be to finalise a deal to make Richard Hughes Anfield’s new sporting director. Hughes announced last week that he was leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season. Edwards stepped down as sporting director two years ago and initially turned down an approach from FSG to come back following Klopp’s announcement in January that he would be leaving at the end of the season. However, FSG’s high-regard for the 44-year-old prompted them to make one final pitch and Edwards held face-to-face talks in Boston ten days ago with principal owner John W Henry and president Mike Gordon. An agreement was reached on Monday following more discussions with Edwards, who has been working as a consultant for Ludonautics, the company set up by Ian Graham, Liverpool’s former director of research. Edwards has always said he would not be a sporting director again, having enjoyed great success in Liverpool’s rise under Klopp where his ability to manipulate the transfer market brought spectacular triumphs both in terms of buys and sales. Mohamed Salah was recruited for an initial £37 million from Roma, for example, while the £142 million sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona helped to pay for incoming deals for Virgil van Dijk and Alisson. Details of his exact role are set to follow in due course, but it is understood the challenge mapped out to him by FSG is behind his decision to return in what will be an overarching role. Edwards -– who spent a decade at Anfield between 2012 and 2022 — is an admirer of Hughes and his arrival is considered a formality. Liverpool will hope Hughes, who has been Bournemouth’s sporting director since 2016, will provide stability in a role in which there has been a steady churn since the departure of Edwards. Julian Ward, Edwards’ successor, stepped aside after a year, while Jörg Schmadtke had been a stop-gap appointment with the German leaving in January. A new structure at the top of the club is important as Liverpool look to make progress with appointing Klopp’s replacement. Xabi Alonso has become a front-runner following his work at Bayer Leverkusen, who boast a ten-point lead at the summit of the Bundesliga and have not lost in 36 matches this season, winning 31. The Spaniard spent six years as a player at Anfield, winning the Champions League in 2005, but is also wanted by another of his former clubs, Bayern Munich, who are replacing Thomas Tuchel this summer. Alonso took over Leverkusen in October 2022. Sporting’s Rúben Amorim is also under consideration by Liverpool, while Brighton & Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi has enjoyed a good record against Klopp’s teams, winning two and drawing two in four encounters.
  15. It’s quite mad that a Man United fan can see exactly what is going on and doesn’t allow his bias to excuse what is the referees in this league blatantly fucking us over.
  16. Reports coming out of Colombia that Barcelona have enquired about him to his agent, who has advised them we would demand a transfer fee of between €120m and €140m.
