Is Oak Furniture Land shit or something? It was just a passing comment when we walked past the shop that I thought some of the stuff looked nice. Personally I would rather walk around with a pair of their wardrobes on my feet than those atrocities Stringy has posted.

This is worse than Oak Furniture Land. Much worse.

I didn't realise there was a Classical thread, I have dabbled in the past, mainly Igor Stravinsky because a lot of my favourite jazz musicians seem to reference him, The Rite of Spring is absolutely mental to this day & his pieces for string quartet are nice in a 'I'm going fucking nuts here' kind of way. I also like a bit of Mussorgsky, Night on Bare Mountain in particular, I think I'll delve more into classical music as I get older, I keep meaning to go & see an orchestra at the Usher Hall up here because it's a great venue & designed specifically for classical music.

I observed earlier today that I liked the look of some of the stuff in Oak Furniture Land. I'm officially middle aged.

I'm on the train down to the game and Steve Davis is on the same carriage, I wasn't sure if it was him but he's got his snooker cue. Best start to the day ever.

The boy gets up and goes straight on to the hit hat, which Moon hardly ever touched, always find that hilarious. Hats off to the boy though, I read an interview with him from a few years back and it was really funny.

It's an old fashioned way of showing that you don't work in manual labour apparently, as a tie would get caught in the machinery or plumbing or whatever.

Generally they like shit films that aren't worth quoting and they aren't as geeky as men are about things. I think if I heard a woman quoting Spinal Tap I would have a minor heart attack.

Watching the Screamadelica documentary on BBC4, forgot how much I used to love that album when I was a kid. We once got into the VIP section of a posh club in Edinburgh pretending that my brother was Bobby Gillespie, that was a funny night. He does fucking look like him.

My work have sent around a new structure chart for our division & managed to spell my name wrong & give me the wrong job title (hilariously, the job I've been trying to get promoted to for the last 18 months). Seven years I've been here as well. Fucking cunts.

CD & myself both watched it, I thought it was ok, it kept me watching anyway & grew up until the penultimate episode, after which it died away again. 6.5/10 for me. I would give it 2 or 3 episodes at least before giving up.

What kind of nightlife are you looking for?

Whenever I see these 'celebrity' nightclub appearances, I always feel a bit sorry for them. Being gawped at for having appeared in a soap opera, a reality show or a girl band, does it get any more fucking grim?

Is anyone else finding the superfluous 'o' in the thread title deeply upsetting?
