  1. I can't be arsed with still pictures of penalty incidents. Football isn't played at one frame per 30 seconds. Should probably go in the Shitness of Modern Football thread.
  2. Took the kids to see this today & have to agree with every word. Paul Rudd is just annoying in it. The last film was good but I think it's time to put it to bed now.
  3. You can do that, or as Barry mentions, you could do something positive... https://spiritofshankly.com/ticketing/
  4. Anytime to announce an increase is a bad time, I don't have an issue at all with the timing. It's more that an institution who pay people like Thiago hundreds of thousands of pounds a week want to squeeze more out of the punters, who are already paying through the fucking nose. The whole thing is a giant pile of shite & free market capitalism on PEDs.
  5. You missed my point, which is why there is a misunderstanding.
  6. I don't go to the Football since they completely ruined the game with VAR but I have had to tighten my belt on any subscriptions I had and a couple of other little things in my life have had to go recently too. It's not just £19 a year, it's the cost of food, drink, clothes, travel & any hobbies, it has all shot up in the last few years and Football isn't an essential, which is what I mean when I say something has to give for people near the breadline. You keep sticking up for some billionaires in Boston though & I'll stay on the side of the wee guy.
  7. 2% is an actual price rise. I can't speak for other Football supporters but I've been worse off every year for the past three years due to the cost of living. Something has to give at some point & you're going to have a more and more genuine supporters priced out of their club.
  8. Nicely summarised. If I could click my fingers & forget all about Football, I would do it in a heartbeat. It is genuinely awful now.
  9. Apart from a couple of screamers early on & pressing the opposition, what's he actually doing? I don't rate him at all.
  10. I think with Klopp's announcement so early, there was always a chance we would ride the hype for a bit then it would peter out and it looks like it is coming to pass, we've hit a slump at an absolute nightmare of a time. I would play a load of kids & some returning from injury next week, a complete dead rubber now. No doubt Mac Allister will start & look shattered again though. Hopefully the last two games act as a rocket up everyone's arse but I won't be holding my breath...
  11. In my defence, I was 6 or 7 last time I watched it. She made a lasting impression.
  12. You can join the union & have your say for next to nothing. I'm not sure a barrage of pointless spreadsheets & topless pictures of Salah will interest them though.
  13. From what I can make out, no fan groups were consulted prior to the announcement about ticket prices. I'm not sure how the supporters board played into that context. It seems to me like most Football fans will take any old shite thrown at them & still pay up. If any person or group do decide to dig their heels in, they should pipe down & just be glad they get a ticket. No wonder this country is fucked.
  14. That's what the club sell though, 'The Anfield experience'. The walk out worked to an extent the last time, you need to hit these cunts where it hurts to get your message across. I'm not saying this is the best method of protest but I don't see many better ideas about.

Best of luck to your missus and you, Stig. You.make a great couple and I'm sure will make even better parents.
  16. Just seen a load of people on the SOS Facebook page complaining about the protest & saying supporters should suck it up. I did note a lot of them were from overseas, 'You should consider yourself lucky to get a ticket at all' etc. Bellends.
  17. Here we go with the fatalistic nonsense before we know the bloke is even coming. What the new manager (whoever he is) needs is time & for the support to get behind him.
  18. Those players didn't spend half of every season injured. Great to have him back but it's only a matter of time before he's out again unfortunately.
  19. Nothing wrong with the quality at all but the teams involved prove my point, same shite every season with the top leagues & clubs getting richer while the lesser leagues fall away. The days of Red Star Belgrade, Malmo & PSV Eindhoven making European Cup finals have gone, along with any sense of equality.
  20. European Football since 1992 = a giant pile of shite.
