    Hope we start slowly and gift them some easy chances within the first 5 minutes to help get their confidence up. The rest of the match will then be an intense and nervy battle, and our players will be exhausted by the end, and we'll have made Palace look world class. Throw in an implausible Nunez miss, and a narrow win, and people complaining about atmosphere and we've got it all.

    Has anyone considered that his purple patch a few months ago was out of the ordinary, and this form is just his norm? I mean the evidence (during his time at Liverpool) is pretty convincing of the latter. We needed a striker in the summer, but it was a recruitment car crash.

    The calls for Jota are getting louder (understandably) but for me Trent is the most talented and creative footballer at the club - if he can slot back in then I think he's key for the title push.

    Yep. This is the fella who went over 30 games without a goal. Fingers crossed we get the goal scoring version for the end of the season.

    He's clumsy as fuck. Never seen a top level player like it. He'd probably do well at Man U - he'd suit their chaotic style quite well. We've needed someone with a brain who can carry out Klopp and Ljinders tactics. He can't. Wouldn't be surprised if he's benched next game and Gakpo brought in (who I don't really like tbh).

    We're great at accumulating points over 12 month periods, unfortunately we've not been able to convert that into league titles. Keane of course is taking out of his arse and every time fails to mention the cheating going on by the club taking the titles which should be ours. And of course none of the other pundits mention it. It's the elephant in the room.

    Good stuff. But yeah luck plays a huge part. I remember my work mate telling me about his bad back. I told him to get to a physio. Little did we know that was actually the start of the cancer.

    He has to have about ten shots before he scores a goal. Not good enough.

    Fella in our team at work died a couple of weeks ago. Prostate. When he first got it and to be fair for almost a year after he was really positive - wasn't going to let it stop him etc. The markers came right down and he was right as rain. But then cancer did what it often does - gave him a glimmer of hope and then smashed it to pieces. It spread like wildfire and he went downhill fast. It was so sad to see him change - you could see over a few weeks it just ate him alive. And then he was gone, almost overnight. It really is an absolute cunt of a disease.
