  1. Dele Ali on Sky, Everton have to drop the ego and realise they can't go for the win.
  2. The thing is if we overcome Atlanta then the momentum/joy etc will kick start our league form too. Failure to perform well and win would be like handing Fulham a pack of nails and a hammer.
  3. I was right that Paul would set the right tone. Straight off the bat he nails it and at the same time explains perfectly that other reds are entitled to feel any emotion they want. That's not me being smug btw, great stuff again lads, loved the Little gag at the end although in an hour the truth behind that joke will start annoying me.
  4. Summarising here but all this could have been avoided. The wife of Yitzhak Rabin blames Benjamin Netanyahu for the assassination of her husband. He was as close as anyone ever was to bringing peace to the entire region.
  5. I watched Iask run clear through yesterday and the same with Watkins day, knew they were going to score. I miss that feeling watching the reds.
  6. Nuno has a great record against City and the type of players that can hurt them on the turnover. They also need points which is the most crucial thing. I do wish Arsenal had just won so I fuck this thread off.
  7. I wasn't smug, I was pissed off that you questioning the character of the players and staff. Ability is up for debate but not attitude or effort.
  8. You look like a cunt bumping look at me posts 2 minutes after that. Like the kind of cunts that haven't been seen in 4 months will reappear complaining we didn't buy Mbappe in January.
  9. Back to looking like a journey man playing out his days in the bottom half of the Bundesliga.
  10. Now we're 2nd, if it was Christmas time I'd say joint top.
  11. I'm not glossing over the performance, just not linking it to anything other than a shit night. Sloppy performances with wasteful finishing isn't something that we haven't seen tonnes of times in the past either. The half time fixing thing isn't new, even at our best we had problems sorting things in game. It's the only issue I've ever had with Klopp, the system and squad he's build seem to be totally reliant on the system, if the counter press is failing its 99% likely we will be shit.
  12. Does it actually take up more energy scoring goals? We have to play the game and run around regardless. It didn't look like we used massive amounts of energy creating 50 chances at Old Trafford. We have the squad back for Klopp to get into the 60/30 minutes rhythm that he likes.
  13. I've no issue with the summary of the game, we were absolutely awful. My problem was lumping it in with Klopp's departure but mostly with questioning the character of the players and the outlook for the rest of the reason. Those lads deserved better than that, it was equivalent of getting the yellow and green scarves out.
  14. Some good news from last night is that result has gone and fucked up the England coefficient. The 5th place finish no longer looks anything like guaranteed CL so Villa can't field their reserves on Sunday.
  15. That pod needed a Paul or Stu to inject some reality back into it, had to switch it off half way through it was so gloomy. Proper throw the toys out of the pram stuff. That performance had nothing to do with Klopp leaving, what it was a team that was completely flummoxed by a style of play, we simply never got to grips with it. Instead of being composed and figuring it out, we panicked. As shite as we where we could have easily scored 4 goals, Darwin has to score, Mo has to keep himself onside and then we have Harvey's effort and Mo, Darwin and Diogo's other chances. We can score 4 or 5 out there easily.
  16. All of this will lead to a reduction in transfer costs and then wages and agent fees. The January window just gone was a glimpse at the future. Clubs know they can only spend within their means, in our case it means our expenditure will reduce. We could increase profits by standing still, increasing ticket costs is unnecessary other than for reasons of greed. I'm delighted the flags were withdrawn and the atmosphere was shite. Maybe FSG may value that support at the billions it worth to them rather than an extra £19 a head.
  17. Shocked by those numbers, I associate with him starting and ending his career on the bench.
  18. I remember that but also can't remember who was involved, may have been Kostas. That situation is different though, he has to award a free as he can't award a throw in as it didn't go out. Restarts are completely different scenarios, refs have a million outs. Another fairly common situation is someone taking a throw in that could be considered a foul throw or just an attempt to get the ball to the real throw taker, may have been one of those on Sunday, it's a can of worms Howard Webb and the lads would love access too.
  19. Arsenal couldn't have argued, it was stupid but Bayern didn't lose out in any way because of Gabriel's actions and therefore common sense says play on. The point I'm making is the game is already faster than it was, frees get taking quickly 15 yards from where they should and we just play on, it makes for a better, faster game, one incident like this would have rule makers looking at ways to destroy the the game.
  20. The draw is already done, it's City or Real waiting for them.
  21. That Gabriel one is the kind of incident that opens cans of worms best left closed. I've come across it in kids football a good few times, maybe not in the box but tonnes of times it would appear a free kick has bene taken only for his team mate to pick up the ball. A free or penalty is supposed to be like insurance, its puts you back in the position you were in before the event. Most goalkeepers these days throw it to the defender to avoid this type of incident, a penalty awarded for pure stupidity I could get behind.
