I think man management skills are going to be what swings it for any candidate. Nagelsmann would be alright if we were rebuilding and looking to maybe lose some players who don't buy into his ideas. Right now though, we've got a pretty solid squad, with proven winners and excellent youth coming through, all of whom know how to play a certain way. I'd go for Amorim. He sounds like he has a great relationship with his players. If it doesn't work out, and Alonso goes to Madrid next year, then Ancelotti will be available. Would love to see him manage us before he retires.

Whilst I agree on Trent's unique skillset, I don't think it's outlandish to envisage a scenario where his inclusion is a potential headache for a new manager. He's not going to go back to just running the flank. It's like latter era Gerrard - you want him in your team, but things have to be shifted around to accommodate him. Some managers don't care for that.

True. But I think there's a difference between being a bit shite, in a subjective manner, and some of the truly vomit-inducing design decisions we've seen in more recent years. That scuba kit, the printer test page 13/14 away, and finally this new badge. They're all a level above "shite" for me, Clive.

As far as shirts go, I think the 13/14 away was actually worse than the third. The latter at least had the badge, maker's logo, and sponsor all in one colour. We've had some truly shocking kits since binning Adidas.
