  1. Considering the players he has, Thomas Frank gets Brentford playing decent stuff.
  2. Reckon we could see a team with only 30 points stay up this season.
  3. It's an interesting one, that pen. Phillips clearly kicks Gordon, but all Gordon was doing was hooking a foot in front of an already swinging leg. He wasn't playing the ball. Can see why it was given, but I think you could easily argue it's actually a trip on Phillips.
  4. Might be small time, but I'm really enjoying seeing all the Newcastle players dropping like flies.
  5. To be fair, that sounds great fun.
  6. Just saw Dragon's Dogma 2 is down to £49.99 at ASDA and caved. In need of an expansive game I can get lost in.
  7. I think we need to see Code and PST bench-pressing one another for charity, preferably dressed as The Hart Foundation or Legion of Doom.
  8. I think man management skills are going to be what swings it for any candidate. Nagelsmann would be alright if we were rebuilding and looking to maybe lose some players who don't buy into his ideas. Right now though, we've got a pretty solid squad, with proven winners and excellent youth coming through, all of whom know how to play a certain way. I'd go for Amorim. He sounds like he has a great relationship with his players. If it doesn't work out, and Alonso goes to Madrid next year, then Ancelotti will be available. Would love to see him manage us before he retires.
  9. It's all a vapescreen, so we don't annoy Leverkusen. That's going to be my coping method anyway.
  10. Aldi have changed their caramel shortbread. It still claims to be shortbread, but it's actually now a digestive base. Absolutely livid.
  11. He's got great vision for long range passes, and strikes the ball beautifully. But, do you think his short range, metronome 6 type passing is up there with the best?
  12. Whilst I agree on Trent's unique skillset, I don't think it's outlandish to envisage a scenario where his inclusion is a potential headache for a new manager. He's not going to go back to just running the flank. It's like latter era Gerrard - you want him in your team, but things have to be shifted around to accommodate him. Some managers don't care for that.
  13. Repped for teaching me something. I thought exactly the same.
  14. I hope our ex-players keep their mouths shut about Alonso coming here.
  15. Good point. It should be interesting to see how teams cope with the change though. Someone will no doubt come up with a great play that'll then be banned.
  16. Yeah, also removes the chance of a sneaky onside kick too. Can see why they've done it though. Concussions, and the dwindling numbers of returns.
  17. True. But I think there's a difference between being a bit shite, in a subjective manner, and some of the truly vomit-inducing design decisions we've seen in more recent years. That scuba kit, the printer test page 13/14 away, and finally this new badge. They're all a level above "shite" for me, Clive.
