  1. Someone please post a pic of this, if you have one.
  2. Lucky Utd fans.... ...they don't have far to travel to see the European Cup, the one less than an hour away at Anfield for winning it FIVE times
  3. Only because barca don't need center halves
  4. why everyone can enjoy this, even if we aren't there yet, is the arrogant "We're MU we do what we want" big mouths, got put in their place, and were totally outclassed, by a decent team that doesn't have to blow its own trumpet. FIVE times
  5. Wikipedia says that Mata is a LFC player, so it must be true....pity the prankster failed to update other sections further down about transfer speculation..
  6. Good goalie, but strange to sign him at 40. Not exactly being groomed to be Pepe's successor. Maybe he will become our US ambassador when he retires! I just hope he won't be another Staunton..
  7. Good, balanced report. There wasn't much in it really, and their defence was surprisingly good, so no cause for alarm. Then there is also the potential benefit of missing out on the B-league of Europe..
  8. I think this will be a tough game, tbh. I remember we played them on the last day in 1993 (and thrashed them). Souness wasn't there and we were hoping that meant he was about to go...now finally we have the manager who should have been appointed then, so I am optimistic again..
  9. Over the last few months there have been allusions to him wanting to come back in the mid-nineties and getting frustrated with the indecisiveness of the LFC suits at that time. Does anyone know the details, or whether there is even any truth to these allusions? (I know it's the past and we're all just made up he's finally back, but the anorak in me would be interested to know.)
  10. Thank God for that! Maybe Spurs will still have their work cut out then..
  11. lots of twists and turns still ahead, I expect. I'm not so confident anymore of the Gunners doing us any favors either when they meet Spurs.
  12. today isn't the time to write off our youngsters, even the one who has shown the least so far. Let's wait a while and hope that Flanagan's example can rub off. I think Jonjo is too keen to impress and ends up like a headless-chicken and rash tackler, but maybe some apt words from Uncle Kenny will sort him out
  13. He actually reminded me of Gerrard on his debut, and I think he might have played at right-back then for that match. I hope he goes from strength to strength, good lad.
  14. It is a good sign. He is a shrewd businessman, and he wouldn't have said something like that without intending to address the problem, because now we will all be looking at him thinking: "You've acknowledged the need, so what are you doing about it?"
  15. "one game at a time and we'll total the points at the end" KD
  16. Made up with the result, attitude of players, performances like Spearing etc. One area that needs improving is care with the final ball, both by Andy and Luis. It's only been one full game, so this will soon be sorted, but we could have had 4 or 5 if some of the passes on the break were more accurate or intelligent, and they have the ability to do it. Now hoping that City and Chelsea both lose against each other!!!
  17. tomorrow will be very telling. If we can't beat Sunderland away when presented with a chink of light like this weekend's other results, then forget about climbing up for the rest of this season, and let's get real about our current limitations for a major clear-out in the summer.
  18. not looking forward to this either. i want Raul to play more forward and try to pose an attacking threat, even if that means bringing in Spearing or Poulsen alongside Lucas in the middle. The other midfielder will preferably be able to cross the ball..God, our squad is paper thin..
  19. We need creativity in reserve more than the pittance Juve are willing to pay
