It does seem strange that we almost insist on buying big name players for 20-30 mil who come over and seem happy to ride the tide picking up stupidly high pay cheques when we have such a good history of bringing players through the ranks. Now we seem to be selling these up and coming talents to pay for the free loaders we are buying from other countries. Surely a player who has come from the boot room will have far more passion and drive to do well for the club than some foreign player on 80 K odd a year. It's this passion that has driven some of our greatest players to be the best they can for the club and I'm sure most of the youth and reserves would feed off that to gain the confidence and skills needed to succeed in the first team. How often do you see manures or arsewipes youngsters doing amazing things in the cups. Quiet often and this is the desire to do well and inspire the manager to give them that dream shot in the first team. I have no doubt this would be true for alot of players in the lower leagues, jsut to have that shot will drive them forward, but no we still buy in crap from afar.

I've got a Suzi RF600 and a kawasuki GPZ750 A1 with a GSXR front end holding a GSXR 600 front wheel with 4 pot calipers and wavey brakes (when the new bobbins arrive). I am currently crowbarring a GSXR 600 rear wheel in the back (doing lathe work on the sprocket carrier to center the wheel) and a GSXR 750 rear shock. Might even add a turbo to it. It's lost all it's front plastics and has duel xenon projector headlights and a tiny bikini fairing (when I finish it) over them. The massive tail/brake light has gone and been replaced with a strip of 10 red LEDs in the tail piece. A new tail piece is in the planning and will be fibreglass and built by me once the weather warms up a bit and I get the fairing finished. Just wish I hadn't sold my crosser in October to finance this build with all this lovely snow about.

Isn't the debt with RBS up for review next month? Why don't we email RBS asking nicely if they would consider not extending or rearranging the debt and request it is paid in full. After all RBS is majority owned by the government now so in effect partly owned by each and every tax payer in the country. This would force them to sell even at a loss. I know it wouldn't work but it's a thought.

Well it's been a bit of a rollercoaster decade and the next one looks to be going in the same direction but it will all be interesting to follow. Best moment for me was Alonsos own half goal in the cup and the look on Gerrards face when he didn't pass to him and his expression changing as it went in. Roll on the next 10 years lets hope for as much fun and entertainment as the last 10.

I can see why they have done it to him. He is only on loan, didn't have premission, is expendable and if you did it at work you would expect the sack. Bit daft to do it really especially how busy the prem is at this time of year every team needs all their players there and on form if possible.

I just hope he is over his injury so that we don't end up paying him to be on the treatment bench all the time. I f he can stay on the pitch I think he could work out well.

A group of 10 of us went to monsters of rock and to help us find the tents we had a big cornwall flag that we lit with a torch when one of em went to the loo we moved the flag about 40 yards away and watched with much amusement as he trashed tent after tent that shouldn't have been in his way. He got back to us and passed out only to find in the morning alot of people pretty pissed off at him and he couldn't remember what had happened.

Only 2 accounts of me being "that" drunk. The first was when I was 14 and at a mates sisters 18th. I got that pissed they called my dad to make sure I got home ok. It was only a 300 yard walk and I thought I followed the white lines up the road very well but I apparently took about half an hour and bounced off the hedges every 10 yards. Spent the rest of hte night chatting to god on the big white telephone. Second occasion was when I was 17 and at a mates sisters 21st birthday (not the same one as I was now living in cornwall 200 miles from the first incident never noticed the similarities before either lol). I got that pissed I apparently spent most of the night behind a barn with his mother, again the next time I visited was to apologise. I don't get pissed anymore.
