  1. In the heat of a title challenge and the Mentality Monsters drop 8 points to Palace, Everton and West Ham. Fucking shameful.
  2. And, lo, Brand the Grifter did come to understand that a career as a false Buddhist could be traded in for that of a false Christian once he realised that this was where his evangelical audience and real money lie.
  3. For a number 9 that would be bad enough were that his only failing, but it's more than that. He doesn't have plenty of quality, he lacks composure, can't remember the offside rule, offers little outside of the box, makes daft runs and has the touch of a rapist with Parkinsons disease. Running around a lot and showing passion might earn you cult hero status as a sub at a middling club, but we should be expecting much more. Can anyone even say he's an upgrade on Origi?
  4. For a couple of months I've thought we were the least likely of the three challengers to win the title, but that was because of too many games and too many injuries. Slightly weird that we've gone to shit as the games have started to lessen and we've had players come back. And to see Man U and and the fucking Bitters playing their part too...
  5. There was something off about his version of events from the off. The CE of an anti-Semitism campaign group just going about his business right next to a pro-Palestinian march with cameras recording and a bouncer in tow? He was clearly looking to make a scene, provoke and get a reaction. He should have been arrested, just as people who've done the same in both pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian marches have been previously. I've seen a few clips of the round of interviews he's been doing since the story broke. What an insufferable arrogant cunt he comes across as.
  6. Well, that must be the strongest bench we've had this season...
  7. I've never really got this portrayal of the LibDems as this wet, nicey nicey left of centre party full of well-meaning sandal wearers who think Labour's a bit too centrist/right-wing/Nazi, not when even in recent years it's been a breeding ground for the likes for Truss, Clegg, Laws, Cable, and Strontium.
  8. Yeah, come join the sensible people of the GF. For me, I'd have been made up if never announced he was leaving and stayed until at least his contract was up, but we are where we are, in a state of limbo with everyone connected to the club knowing he's going while we're in the hunt for trophies. There was a hope amongst some that his announcement might spur the players and fans on, while others feared it would have an adverse impact. It seems to have done the latter. I'm not blaming Klopp for that BTW, I suspect it was going to be leaked which forced the issue.
  9. It's probably been said a million times before, not least by me, but I do find it fascinating how a party that presents itself as the protector of tradition and family values has such a strong tradition of, not just your run of the mill sex pests, but the proper exotic full on creepy fuckers.
  10. All right, but apart from shit paintings, terrific dancing, promoting vegetarianism, loving animals, being a socialist and making the trains run on time, what has Hitler ever done for us?
  11. I think the argument for freedom to make your own decisions, and live or die by them, goes out the window considering the billions of pounds smoking related illnesses cost the (generally non-smoking) taxpayer each year via the NHS. As a principle, I'm in favour of capable adults being allowed to make their own decisions in their lives, but not at the expense of others, or society more generally, and that's the line crossed here. And, if we are to accept that the freedom to do your own thing is paramount, then why doesn't that apply to everything? I don't remember anything like the same outrage from 'libertarian's' when so-called legal highs were banned not long ago, and they don't cost society anything like as much. Cannabis? Try telling some stuffy Telegraph reading cunt with a whiskey in his hand that we should legalise weed and he'd think you were smoking something. It seems like societal/cultural norms and stereotypes figure into their calculations more than inherent principles.
  12. Either you somehow missed the post that Rico alluded to, where Toxteth talks about changing the narrative (that was quoted half a dozen times since) or you have seen it and still saw fit to post what you have. Edit: just read the post above
  13. Roald Dahl over here. Fucks sake, what a muddled, factually incoherent and racist post. As someone's said, you're conflating the actions of Israel in the modern day with those of Jews historically, going back over 2500 years. If the narrative needs changing, then, if the Jews weren't victims during the Babyonian captivity why not? If the Jews weren't the victims during the Roman invasion of their land and the persecution of their people then why not? If the Jews weren't victims when Edward I launched a smear campaign leading to hundreds of Jews deaths in this country at the hands of bigotted gullible cunts, eventually kicking them out the country rather than paying his debts, then why not? If the Jews weren't victims when your man Hitler chose them as a scapegoat for Germany's post-war ills, leading to their persecution and near fucking extinction in his gas chambers, then why not? Fucking state of this place that people who trumpet their progressive inclusive anti-racist credentials turn into ostriches whenever someone spouts racist abuse against Jews. I'd hardly be surprised if GCHQ are monitoring the site for evidence of far-right activity.
  14. That face belongs on the front of a low production value 90s British porn DVD called Lizzie Deepthroats Luton.
  15. Pretty much sums up the state of public discourse these days. Fuck waiting for verifiable evidence when you can find and express a truth that fits with what you want to believe. Or what you want others to believe.
  16. A few years old now, but possibly the funniest take down of a cunt of his ilk I've even seen online, especially given what Fox was talking about and who the response was from.
  17. "All around me I could hear people crying and saying 'poor Liz'. Imagine my anger when I realised they were talking about that dead woman."
  18. Corbyn wrote for the Sun too, before he became leader. And from Tony Benn's diaries: "Well I don't want to be known as a Sun columnist. But I wouldn't mind writing occasionally...because you are getting through to a working-class audience that is potentially Thatcherite but should be socialist". Cunts.
  19. I've dealt with a lot of homeless people, both in my work and living in central London, and in my experience the vast majority are mentally ill, with any substance addictions being a symptom of that. Any lifestyle 'choice' they make to spend their lives getting obliterated, eating food from bins and sleeping outside shop doorways isn't the choice of someone who's in any real position to make those decisions. They need help, in the same way that any severely mentally ill person needs help. Criminalising them would be an exercise in futility.
  20. Works for me, though I fear for this forum's servers if Labour win the next election. edited to add
  21. Yep, imagine being able to say during the election debates "you paid for sex with a pornstar behind your pregnant wife's back, and then lied about it under oath" when Trump bangs on about his Christian values. But I very much doubt if Biden would go there, or even that he'd remember to bring it up if he was minded to go there.
