  1. I thought he missed that last one at first. Brilliant goal from an out of this world player.
  2. Are we linked with the Porto Fernando or the Shaktar one? As far as LB's go I'd rather buy Alex Sandro from Porto than the Chelsea reject, looks good defensively and quicker than Enrique. Not sure if he has the same injury issues as I don't follow Porto but I'd be willing to bet he doesn't. We've been linked with M'Villa again, not sure how well he's done at Rubin Kazan though but he looked good while in France, bit of a headcase though obviously
  3. I believed we could win but no way was I expecting that! Absolutely brilliant performance.
  4. I suppose loaning Pastore can't really hurt at all, it would just piss me off if he did well for us only to be sold to a club with more funds in the summer (and with our luck it would be Chelsea or City) but then perhaps he could influence that as well if he enjoyed his time here and didn't want to go elsewhere. Only seen Guidetti from youtube clips but we definitely could use another striker and the reviews from around the internet are promising. Not really a link but seen an article suggesting we move for Gundogan as apparently he's stalling on extending his contract. It's a pipe dream obviously as he's another we most likely can't afford who will have plenty of suitors established in the CL just waiting for him to become available. Both him and Draxler do fit the FSG model though besides what I assume would be very large fees. Certainly doubt we'd attempt such moves in January, seems like something that would happen in the summer if at all.
  5. Yea I agree with that, I was just pointing out that it's still all speculation at the end of the day. I don't know enough about Salah to say that he'd be a shit signing but at the same time it's not really something I'm going to get excited over. Apparently we've also been linked with John Guidetti then there is the constant Pastore on loan link as well. I'd rather not loan Pastore without agreeing a permanent deal before hand for the same reasons most don't like loans but then again if he came and helped us qualify for the CL (or even more) it would be worth it anyway.
  6. I get your point but I don't feel sorry for him myself. He's got one real job and that's to look after himself, maybe it's not "fair" seeing as some players seem to be able to get pissed up all the time and still perform but if that's the case then just about every fat fucker (obviously Carroll isn't fat but then as I said his job is essentially working out) in the world can point to a friend or two that don't have to watch what they eat and drink as much. A player I genuinely felt sorry for was Aurelio. There's a man who seemingly did everything he could to stay fit yet just couldn't.
  7. The Salah thing could all be bullshit to be fair. Seen articles suggesting Rodgers was there for Draxler rather than Salah, of course seeing as they were both playing he was by default watching both. One is flavour the month as others have said, the other is most likely out of reach for now.
  8. Tripe is actually incorporated into one of my favorite dishes, Menudo. Best hangover cure out there in my opinion and it's quite delicious but that's the only way I've ever had it and I can't imagine eating it otherwise for the reasons you've mentioned.
  9. Grapefruit Not really a huge fan of potatoes unless they're smothered with something or a variety of things, I'll eat them but there are far better side dishes out there in my opinion. Blue Cheese Not sure they really qualify as food but fig newtons Mayonnaisse by itself is disgusting, as a base for dressings or dips I don't mind it. Carrot Cake Turkey - I fucking hate turkey and everyone in my family thinks its perfect for Christmas dinner. Countless times I've suggested Goose, Duck, and even just plain old chicken but no everyone wants that bland fucking bird for christmas I've even gone so far as to explain that I will do all the work myself to cook any of the above birds that isn't turkey if they can just scrap it but to no avail. In general, even though I'm american I agree with the sentiment that a lot of us are lazy fuckers but when it comes to changing a family tradition they'd rather do all the work to prepare such an obviously shit bird that is ALWAYS dry than to let me cook something different. To make matters worse most in my family have half-realized that turkey sucks and have converted to dark meat only, which was the only saving grace to having to eat turkey because at least I was guaranteed the not as dry parts. Thankfully the family has by and large fucked off thanksgiving as a "get together" since the older generation passed away so I've had turkey free thanksgivings for quite some time now. Corned beef - only have to eat on St. Patrick's Day, still sucks, but thankfully a fuck ton of mustard can make it taste decent. Imitation Krab - It's not crab, and it doesn't taste like crab, it tastes like nothing. Milk - Like Mayo it's something that I understand the purpose of when it's incorporated into a dressing or dish, but just plain milk is shit by itself and the only occassions I'll have a glass of milk is if I'm eating cookies or donuts, neither of which I eat often because all the sugar does is make me want to eat a juicy steak or something similar. Off the top of my head thats about it. I used to hate liver but the last few times I've had it I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course it was covered with onions and bacon
  10. Suarez to save the day. Nolan off. Shit tackle, never winning that ball and then tried to apologize, fuck off! Suarez again, not sure it's going in without the deflection but brilliant to create his own space for the shot. Love how pissed and shocked he looked after dribbling out of play just now too
  11. Hopefully it's just a strain for Stevie rather than a tear but I did the same thing when I done my hamstring a couple years ago albeit I'm an elite athlete and was sprinting rather than shooting at goal. Fuck!
  12. I could see how you come to both of those conclusions. I was never exactly soaring about either of them but Sterling seemed like a prospect capable of bursting out and his makes were forgiven because he was young, inexpensive, and hungry for what we all thought was playing time. Now he's still young and I suppose relatively inexpensive compared to other players but he looks like he's ran into a wall of complacency with his current situation. He needs a loan but we've not exactly got a lot of options anyway so I can't see that happening. Then as I said Allen started well but since he went shit and got injured hasn't even had the opportunity to see if he can get back to that. Obviously Rodgers sees something in training to justify this lack of opportunity, I suppose the frustration is down to not having access to that information. If he doesn't think he's good enough though then Allen needs to go in January and we need to get someone else in.
  13. Yea Sterling went shit after his new contract. It doesn't help that off the field he seems like a person who thinks he's "made it" rather than someone who needs to work hard to be the player he can be. I think Allen is just lacking confidence in general for the same reasons many question his lack of involvement. Decent fee, Manager talks him up, he starts well hits a bad run of form and injuries and has since been an afterthought. Have no idea why Sakho isn't playing though.
  14. Oh yes our midfield was trash today, it's not like we let goals in off of set pieces at all...
  15. I doubt very much Mirallas will be retrospectively punished and to be honest whats the point? It's not like we turn around and play them again whilst the ban would be in effect, better that he plays and fucks up other teams challenging for the CL spots in my opinion. Sure it helps those cunts challenge too but I think we'll do them at Anfield anyway and if we take care of business in our other fixtures it won't really matter what they do. That said, it was a clear red but bitching about it gets us nowhere. Let's leave the bitching to everton. I was happy with the majority of our performance today, Allen's miss was atrocious and Suarez could have had at least one more but it was mainly our defending that let us down and that doesn't happen often (Lukaku always gives Agger problems though so perhaps Sakho should have started, nothing bad to say about Flannagan but I'd have started Toure on the right with Johnson on the left as well). A better player would have scored off Moses' header too but I understand he made his run too early and isn't at that world class level. Shame Sturridge wasn't deemed fit enough for the full 90 as from his time out he looked like he would have done more damage as well. Thanks Woy. Lucas gave some silly fouls away as he faded but saved us a few times as well over the course of his contribution. Could have been much worse without him but as many has said he needs help and/or competition, I still think a player in the Gerrard mold is of higher importance though as we're very reliant on a player who is nearing the end of the his career, though not as near as some would suggest. Being American I don't get the same opportunity to review the academy players as others do but unless Rossiter looks like the second coming (from what I've read and watched he seems the most likely to be capable but he's still a few years out if I'm recalling correctly) we need to find someone similar to give Gerrard a break and prolong his career. One thing I would like to see going forward is us pressing higher from the start. As it is we only seem to do that against the "big clubs" and while it would almost certainly lead to some players (Mainly Lucas and Gerrard) fading faster than they already do I think more often than not it would lead to us killing games early rather than letting teams hang around. Obviously reinforcing the midfield in January could allow us to do that because that's where we fade the most over the course of matches, not that I'm opposed to improving other areas as well, especially left back.
  16. He was down by contact anyway, whistle should have gone right after he caught the ball and hit the floor but once the refs realized the monumental fuck up they had by letting him carry on with it they decided not to change the call.
  17. Pityriasis Rosea - been dealing with this shit since late july. Basically just a cosmetic rash (although it itched terribly at first, that has actually died down a fair bit), the dermo said there isn't shit he can do. Sun is supposed to help it go away faster but that really hasn't done much for me although I suppose I could get more. Mostly it's just an annoyance but it looks fucking terrible and I have it everywhere except my gentials, face, palms, and the soles of my feet. Doesn't help that it looks a bit like secondary syphilis either though that specifically presents on the palms and soles of the feet as well not to mention that other than the now mild itching and I don't actually feel unwell at all. Looked all over the internet for alternative therapies most just repeat the sun information and a few have said to wash in anti-dandruff shampoo (head & shoulders or Selsun Blue) which I've been doing lately. It was only supposed to last 12 weeks at most and has clearly been here longer than that so I'm going to have a biospy done next week to see if the dermo is wrong. Random stranger in the store suggested that he thought it was mites rather than the above obscure rash, but I'd rather not go through that whole process without confirming that's what it is and no one else I've been in contact with or that lives with me has any evidence of mites themselves. Few sites have suggested a colloidal silver gel, ozonated olive oil, and/or tea tree oil. Haven't tried any of that yet as I'm not sure where to get quality products offline (or online for that matter) and all the sources I've found are rather expensive for something I'm not even sure is going to work.
  18. It's clearly a ploy to make beastiality one day perfectly normal...
  19. A bit picky aren't you? Honestly no idea where to look, there's loads of sites that claim HD if you pay their small fee but I never trust them (would recommend you don't either) and just make do with whats there if I'm watching via stream.
  20. Sahin himself seems to think he's a deep-lying/holding midfielder which would be he has to at least be competent defensively. Source: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/mar/14/nuri-sahin-liverpool-brendan-rodgers
  21. Agreed. If you look at it on paper it's quite simple really. Beat the teams you should beat and you are pretty much guaranteed at least 4th. Get some results against teams that are our equal or considered "better" and we're in with a shout at the title provided we still beat the teams we should be beating. Our main problem even as far back as when Rafa was here was never the sides that people think are better or equal to us (bar Arsenal away, we've been shit there for too long) but the teams we should be comfortably seeing off scraping draws and even some wins against us.
  22. Rafa supposedly was in for him at Inter and now supposedly is again while at Napoli. Hodgson manages England where he can't buy players, and Kenny doesn't manage any other team. I'm not saying he can't possibly be upgraded or at least bring in someone who might be able to take the position from him, but of the four managers one is still in the job and only one other currently works for another club which might have something to do with none of them buying him. Of course, it might also be down to us not wanting to sell.
  23. Agreed that Arsenal weren't all that special. Henderson puts his free chance in and we could even be celebrating a win now. The quick FK that was pulled back also could have changed the game. We primarily did ourselves in which is what made it all the more frustrating.
  24. To be fair to LFD (even though I'm fairly certain it's not his work, I think he's a bit more clever than that) at least you could pick the tune just from reading it, the first post reads like free verse poetry.
