    Short term perhaps, but if, like most expect, for him to have to play in a team that if we're honest, will probably struggle, it could see his stock drop long term. If it was me - I'd take a lower wage but play for a more advanced team with a club with a larger profile. Each to their own though I suppose.

    Thats what we where doing last season and for about 10 years before that - defending the defence. Now, we are leaving them exposed and they are being found out for what they are, which is a slow back 4. Is that the right thing to do? I don't think so, but we're are no more a defencive team now than we have been under Benitez and Houllier. Tactically not as astute, but defencive! I'm just not seeing it. If anything we're just all over the fucking show ;)
