I said it in the build up, Gakpo would surely have finished one of the 20 shots we had early on if he had started. Nunez would have been perfect to bring on when the match had gone batshit mental in the last 25mins

I’d be tempted to start Gakpo over Nunez at the weekend. Nunez isn’t doing much wrong I just think in the United game he would be a game changer as a sub coming on. The other way round with Gakpo replacing Nunez tends to slow us down

Alonsos achievement this season is unbelievable but does that automatically qualify him for this job? Klopp couldn’t have chosen a worse season to leave in terms of who’s available. Although, when you look at United- they’ve tried pretty much every conceivable option since since Ferguson and none of them have worked

Klopp and/or Ljinders for one more season until Alonso realises the party is over next season
