I'd agree with you here, he's not good enough for our 1st team at the moment, and the format of the reserve league won't help him progress due to the lack of games. I think he shoul be loaned out to a Championship team, see how he gets on there ie. can he nail down a starting place firstly and then if he does, can he consistently produce good performances. If he can do both of the above then we truely know we have a player that we may be able to use in our 1st team. I think this approach should be taken with a few of the reserves, nemeth included. We also need to seriously cut some of the poorer players from that reserve squad and let the U-18 lads like Amoo, Della Valle etc. play more reserve team football. Personally I think this would be the best way to help these players progress and to judge whether they have what it takes to make it in our 1st team or even as a good squad option.

Agreed, but I think it can also be argued that the transfer thread is also a bloody mess, two hundred and eighty something pages, how the hell are you supposed to wade through all that shite. There has to be a happy medium somewhere.

It's a shame to see Huth being released, I liked what I saw from him in the reserves. In my opinion there are quite a few other players in the reserves who should've been released before big Ronald.

Exactly, we don't need a whole pile of players but we do need another player who can change turn a game in our favour.

Nail on the head time...if we sell Xabi we WILL NOT be able to replace him with a player of equal ability. Xabi above any other player in the squad makes us tick, he's the one every player tries to get the ball to in order to create something. This may seem like over stating his worth to the club, but I don't think you can over state it. As someone else has already said we have one of the strongest spines to our team in Europe, it's adding one or two players we need to do, not sell the class we already have.

This is why I love this club so much, the best fans and the best players in the world...no ifs, buts or doubts about it!

Went to see it yesterday and though it was really good, the story line was solid and the actions scenes were excellent. There were also a couple of nice nods to terminator 1 and 2 in there. Could be a tad confusing if you think too much about the time lines of 1 and 2, but once I stopped myself from doing that it was all good. A solid 7.5 out of 10 for me. Not quite the reinventing the wheel that Batman begins was, but bloody good all the same.

So sad to see Sami leaving, haven't felt this gutted since Fowler left for Leeds...he's a true legend of the club and I really hope he'll be back in a coaching role some time in the future.

Everyone points to the fact that we were missing Gerrard and Torres for a lot of the season, which I think had a massive overall effect on us this season...but don't forget we were also missing Skertl for a large chunk of the season and Masch was missing for the first couple of weeks too due to the olympics (and I feel that his form suffered due to this competition too). These are four very inportant players to be missing in my opinion. I feel we are certainly moving in the right direction. For me a number of things need to happen during the summer, and I hope to God that they happen. First and foremost we have to get our transfers right this summer. Personally I would be very happy if we signed Tevez, Glen Johnson and Barry in the summer (however I fear we won't be able to afford Tevez). Another player I would be very interested in is Bastien Schweinsteiger. This is dependent on keeping the squad we have together. Secondly I think we need to have a big clear out of below par reserve players, lets be honest quite a few of them are very very poor players. I believe the way forward for the reserves is to only sign players who genuinely may have the ability to break into the first team squad at some point, this may be 1 year or 3 years down the line, but so long as they look to have the raw talent to achieve this at some point. Outside of these players the reserves should be made up of players from the academy eg. amoo, ince, della valle etc. I hope this will start happening now that Rafa has more control over these matters. Thirdly, and unfortunately it's hard to see what will happen with this one, we need to get the ownership issue sorted. We need stability at the top to continue improving on the field, I really hope that this situation gets sorted for the better this summer.

Mascherano - Was an animal today, never gave West Ham time to settle on the ball, the chief at his destructive best. If Xabi had been playing we would have won by a lot more.

1. Kuyt - worked very hard and got the 2 goals his effort deserved 2. Yossi - our best attacking player today 3. Alsonso - took awhile to get going but thought he was the best from the rest. Insua would've nearly made it into my 3rd spot except he fell asleep for their goal.

In my opinion banter is on a one to one basis, not when a stadium full of supporters start chanting the name of another club...that's just retarded in my view.

I said it in the summer and I still stick by it, I'd love to see us signing Sebastian Schweinsteiger, he can play on the right or in the hole. he'd be well able for the physical side of the premiership in my opinion and would also contribute goals and can also beat a player one on one. I think he'd be another 'match winner' type player for us. It would also mean that Kuyt would be a 2nd option for striker, which would be no bad thing.

I second that sentiment, there is no way a uniform Guard would have a tazer, zero chance in fact. The only Gardai in Dublin who have tazers are members of the ERU. And as rondeco has already rightly pointed out, they would not be at the hospital, they would be at the scene of the shooting.
