1. This internet shit is serious bidnizz, Dan. You know that. I reserve the right to feel superior in my own way by NOT going gold. It's a complex web of quasi-smugness and silent self-congratulation in which I live, where I pat my own back whilst wanking infront of a mirror with the other hand.
2. I'm currently looking for a link to send something myself; hook a brother up, yo?
3. I don't contribute many posts but have donated a few times and paid for the gold shite once too. I find the rep system to be be a source of great embarrassment that is taken far too seriously and that the MF was pretty shite, really. This thread has prompted me into making a donation again, however, as I do spend a lot of time lurking, but I don't like the idea of 'going gold' due to the smugness it incites in a select few; it just doesn't sit right with me and it's not something I want to be a part of, so there you go. The FF has got more readable since a fair few have disappeared to the MF; all the Rafa-related infighting was what made me stop paying for the pleasure of coming here, as it simply stopped being a pleasure. And finally, I quite like both Major Tom and Xerxes; they seem like pleasant enough people. I've no idea how anyone can get so angry about nothing.
4. I find Cheap Flights - Compare Airline Tickets with Skyscanner.com is good for finding cheap flights. You can search individual days from specific airports, cities or country to country, or do a whole month search and see which the cheapest day to fly is in a given month.
5. I went to Uni at eighteen, was an ungrateful twat, fucked around and got booted after a year. Did lots of shite jobs that I hated for several years. Then I did an access course and worked my arse off to save money at twenty-six, started at twenty-seven, stuck in a year abroad in Germany at twenty-nine and eventually finished just before my thirty-first birthday. It was the best thing I'd ever done and I've not looked back since. Makes a hell of a difference to your motivation when a) you're paying for everything yourself and b) you know what it's like to work in jobs that you fucking loathe and that make you miserable. I didn't work full-time at the same time, so lived like a penny-pinching gippo for the duration, but it made crossing the finish line all the sweeter. Best of luck. p.s. if you do go back full time, don't live in halls; many students are very, very annoying.
6. My mate's website. His wife makes them all with her tiny, bare, Argentinian hands. I have one and, while it makes me look quite the dapper chap about town, it also stops my trousers falling down. Handmade leather accessories My apologies for the shameless plugging but I wouldn't be a mate if I didn't.
7. Congratulations, mate. Best wishes to all the family.

9. For it to continue they'd have to introduce a whole new cast barring two characters, which sounds laughable and would probably turn it into some week-by-week story bullshit a la CSI or other such nonsense. Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. Special note for pure shitness was that whole farce with David 'the bad guy' Estes and him just calling off the hit on Brody instead of getting Quinn fucked off and *then* going in and redacting Saul's lie detector report. Infact, the whole series just makes the CIA look a complete bunch of clowns from sobbing at any given moment to agents disobeying orders at the drop of a hat and allowing terrorists to get into a top security centre, break into a car, load it with semtex and detonate it next to over two hundred CIA agents. There have been good moments but the minute they revealed their trump card, the ace up their sleeve, i.e. It woz Brodie what done it, they just had to start scrambling around, making giant plot leaps and for that reason, in the style of Duncan Bannatyne, I'm oot.
10. Having seen you face to face, Steve, I have to say I didn't notice anything outlandish about your nose. Now your ears, on the other hand...
11. Looks enhanced from the penultimate picture in that video. Which, as a frequenter of seedy websites instead of leaving the house and running the risk of actually getting my grasping, pudgy hands on said globes, evokes no form of malice or judgment in me, rather quite the contrary; I perform a one handed clap in her direction, in honour of morale-lifting money-well-spent in these difficult times. Plus, if the world's going to end, you might as well have massive tits and show them to all and sundry on the internet.
12. I expect to hear this played on loop for the next thousand or so years: We will all dress in shiny clothes and hover round, shaking our funky thang. It will be a good age.
13. All this about 'a man can work where he wants', 'family comes first' and 'life off the forum is private and we have to respect that' is all well and good to to the average Joe on the street. But then if you claim to be a Liverpool fan and spend half your waking day, every day, abusing the fuck out of people on a Liverpool website, knowing the dirty little secret you're carrying round, then you can't just say, "Come on, lads. It was just a joke" when you get found out. Everyone knows there are millions of mental people in this world who wouldn't take his insults as a joke, and a smart, socially aware chap like himself more than most. I don't understand why he's being stuck up for as he knew what he was doing and probably buzzed off the risk of being found out. Fuck it. I'm obviously not condoning threats against his children but I imagine there'll be some peculiar subscriptions landing on his mat in the coming weeks. For the record, I thought he was quite funny but just took some of the stalking too far. From time to time, we all need to be told we're being a dickhead when we're actually being one, that's what mates and peers are for, but he often went too far with the sustained persecution.
14. Blistering Bootleggers! I may pop in anticipation between now and next week's series finale. Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. Al Capone, strolling out of the crowd, saying: "You and me are going to have a little chat, then we'll decide who's going to die" or words to that effect... can't fucking wait.
15. I'm afraid I pass this year as I'm meant to be doing a masters at the moment, even though I still seem to find enough time to piss away, reading shite (albeit informed and witty) on here, instead of reading stuffy journals. With regards last year, sorry Woo. I promise I did write your second CD review; I was very, very pissed, writing it at about half three in the morning whilst listening to it for the umpteenth time. An impassioned, glowing eulogy spewed forth as I banged on for ages until its completion. And then, disaster... as I read through it, shattered by my exertions and having nothing to do with my inebriation at all, I fell soundly asleep, waking up to a dead laptop and a lost-forever CD review. I simply couldn't muster the gumption to do it all again. Sorry, mate. For the record, it's ace. Special mentions go to: Roll Call (The Cool Kids), The World (Is Going Up In Flames) (Charles Bradley), War (Nas), The Truth (Pharoahe Monch) and Take Me To Your Leader (King Gheedorah). I still listen to it as and when, it's a fine mix for walking between classes in the sunshine, and Roll Call is a firm favourite to get people bumping in 'La Casa del Dolphin'. No neighbour is yet to complain so I'm guessing they must love it too.

Aye, I agree, but I think the relationship between him and Rosetti has got loads of legs aswell, as Gyp is old fashioned but won't take shit forever so you can see it blowing up. I reckon the Eye-talians have got a large part to play in the future, especially as Nucky has been stranded, Lucky Luciana is selling skag and Al Capone has started sticking forks into people's faces. Or at least trying to.
17. This whole series has been by far the best yet; far more action and excitement than the first two, mainly due to Gyp, who's just a full on, lovable psychopath. His latest escapades on the beach just had me contorting in pain, even though you could see it coming. He's got to go, obviously, but I hope they milk him for all he's worth first. The other main improvement is that Margaret is far less annoying than she used to be. She used to grate something rotten and it says something for her character development that I felt so sorry for her Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. It was just an incredible episode all round Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. with that snivelling porker, fuck knows his name, popping himself in the head instead of taking out Gaston Means when he had the chance. It's always a telling sign when you're counting how many episodes are left in the series as you partly don't want it to end but are also dying to see how it does.
18. In response to above, just added some NSFW tags, just incase. Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. I don't think it's her disobeying the orders which is shite, it's the bloke who's prepared to stab a man through the hand to get some information suddenly turning all soft and demanding she not follow them. Having said that, I like the programme. The daughter, however, with her wobbly, emotional face and overactive eyebrows, needs to not appear so much from now on, please. She's been taking expression lessons from Carrie (who I also like, but she does love hamming up those facial paralinguistics).
19. Just out of interest, how are the demonstrations around Europe being portrayed in England tonight? Just spoke to an Irish mate that is visiting and he says there's been very little in the news over there about the strikes here. It's all a bit mental here today. The news has shown so much footage of everyone from young girls to old men that are receiving police batons to the thighs or while they're on the ground, it's pretty fucking sickening. The law here are fucking thugs. They single out the weak, then twat seven bells of shit out of them. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see that happening in England. People have fought back and a few police have had the shit kicked out of them by little gangs, which will only escalate to harsher responses; the beanbag cannons came out a few hours ago. Pretty mental stuff, especially for a modern European country.
20. I reckon something could quite easily kick off big style in Spain soon. Police are getting heavier and heavier handed; at the beginning of this year in Valencia, they chased and beat the shit out of fifteen and sixteen year old students for continuing a demonstration for about half an hour longer than planned. It all got very tense for a while but then everything calmed down again. What I don't understand is the fact that the right wing got back in again at the last elections, amidst loads of corruption allegations (loads of free gifts, namely suits, and building contracts for absolutely pointless shit, like an airport with no planes). Then the only judge who was prepared to look into them, Baltasar Garzon, was stitched up royally and disbarred by his peers. Corruption is just blatant and accepted to an extent here and you can guarantee if there was another election here tomorrow the PP would get in again, partly because the majority of people are just comfortable. I know a great deal of people who didn't strike today because everyone lives in fear of losing their job. Employers are taking advantage of the recession and one boss of a large company I teach at actually told me they'd sacked a load of people under the pretence of having to make cutbacks when actually it was purely a means to increase profit; those that were left took on the greater workload and said fuck all because they thought they might be next. It's a fucked up situation. But I think it's definitely changing and there's something in the air, without wanting to sound all mysterious about it. Everybody's talking about it and I think it'll just need a big enough catalyst for something to happen. I just can't see how it will, though, without being violent because the politicians and corporations here quite clearly don't give a shit and are blatant about it.
