The Reds are currently third behind AC Milan and Chelsea in UEFA's official rankings thanks to their Champions League performances over the past four seasons, having accrued more ranking points, 104.288, than any other club in Europe. Having won the competition in 2005, been runners up to AC Milan in 2007 and made it through to the semi-finals this year, another decent campaign in 2008/09 would see Rafa Benitez's side take the number one spot ahead of the Italians, who have not qualified for next season's Champions League, and currently managerless Chelsea. Fellow Premier League side Arsenal are sixth in the current rankings with current Champions League holders Man United in seventh. Other British teams on the list include Newcastle in 19th, Rangers in 20th, Middlesbrough in 27th, Spurs in 31st, Bolton in 41st, Everton in 44th and Celtic in 52nd. Their recent form in the Champions League also means that they will go into the qualifiers for next season's competition as number one seeds and will thereby avoid the other seeded teams when the draw for the qualifying rounds is made in July. I've been thinking about getting an adapted Shankly gates-style design across the top of my back, with the crest part made bigger and jibbing the thissle and scottish circles off, looks quite good but I've only done it on paint whilst bored. Also considered getting the European cup design from the Istanbul match stub but adding an extra 4 stars from right to left then having something written underneath them. Cash has been a bit tight lately though.

Real Madrid TV knocks spots off it, just have a sly watch every now and then and you'll see how second rate ours really is. Reserves coverage is all I watch generally as the rest are all repeats now, watch the Gary Mc derby when it's on aswell like!

Can't see Holland getting out of the group, so would avoid the dutch players, even if they do get through there won't be loads of goals in their games against Italy and France. Germany and Portugal should both gaurentee getting to the Semi's, more games = more goals. I had Klose at 33-1 in the world cup, which was nice. I fancy Podolski e/w and I'm going to stick with Klose with a win bet. Think Baros represents decent value, even though he couldn't hit a barn door playing for Portsmouth.

About time too. Reminds me a bit of Barcelona's club shop. I doubt it'd be as big or offer as wide a range as Barca but first things first I suppose, although I won't be spending a penny in there until the yanks have gone.

I honestly think we need a Barry more than an Alonso in order to improve next season. Barry seems to have more about him getting forward and is an excellent set-piece taker, something we are badly lacking. People go on about us needing pace in attacking areas but why not centrally aswell? Ok, he's not has dynamic as they come, but he's an improvement. Do we really need Xabi to control a game against 75% of the teams in the league? most of them let us have the ball anyway.

He's next on the list, with Parry. After the Yanks are out.

I'm honestly not arsed about next season, they've banged on about winning it two times for a few seasons now anyway. We always outsing them at OT, even this season! I can't see them coming up with an array of quality songs in the close season either. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter how close to the edge of a shadow you are... you're still in the shade. It's up to us now to make sure they stay there.

I always thought repetition was the best form of education. I think a banner which reads "Where were you in Moscow?" could get used at least four times next season, it'd totally bamboozle them.

Would have happend last year (1st part) had United got through to Athens. No segregation at all, I suspect it'll be slightly different this year though. Seen a lot of Chinese on the tele in United shirts, so my money's on them to win if it goes off! Doubt the last bit would happen, would be great if it did though.
