    Yup, same thing here, I took a student loan in years 1 and 2. The 1st year loan was bought/transferred to Thesis Servicing. Because they split them between two companies I get no tax relief on either and they both come out as direct debits rather than through my pay.

    Once it gets to public notice it's usually too late unless you're a cash buyer. Look at the pictures in the estate agents and pay attention to the kitchen/bathroom which will have tape over them as the systems are drained. There are usually air fresheners on the windows too.

    It's been looming over me for the last 8 months; knowing I would have to re-apply for my job has been such a shitty experience. Anyway, after going through the ordeal of 3 interviews in one day, I got a call today to say I am safe for the foreseeable. Grateful that they let me know so quickly and it's a massive weight off my shoulders, it's been making me ill. Feel shit for those that are still going through it. This weekend I am going to get wasted to celebrate.
