1. Was in tears for the one above.......... But the one below is right up there........
2. Wonderful post.......... That you are so passionate and emotive deserves praise...... You still deserve negging for FB on GF....... In anycase about time Afridi stepped up..... but I was impressed w/ Kamran Akmal, Ive always rated him and he backed himself on Sunday, to good effect... To avoid the impending negging, recommendations on when, where and what to do in Ottawa are welcome..... I had mates who studied at Carleton as part of a study abroad and they had the time of their lives.....
3. Assuming The Mail is accurate........ If Valdes has the gall to expect the same weekly wage as Xavi, he's fucking mad...... Surely, he's not that deluded...... Amen brother...... Not that Messi would ever leave Barcelona, but its worth a crack.... And while we're at it, is Maxi Rodriguez still at Athletico..... Would he be worth a shout?
4. Geez that was quick..... Thanks mods..... I'm w/ you mate, unusual to hear this from the Club and not Rafa, no? Fair Point...... next time I might bother to check the threads before posting.....
5. Not that this deserves a new thread.... But I wasn't sure where to put this, nor did I want it to get lost in a 80 odd page Xabi thread.... Mods please delete if this has already been posted..... In any case its a curious statement from the club and I would have preferred to hear this from Rafa. LIVERPOOL FC OFFICIAL STATEMENT Liverpool Football Club has today released the following statement. "Despite repeated media speculation on the futures of Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano, Liverpool has received no official approach or offer from any club regarding the players. "Neither is for sale and furthermore Liverpool has no interest in the long list of Spanish based players being linked with a move to Anfield as part of any deal."
6. I've been addicted since I saw the show first air in `99. Here is another favorite scene of mine: Ive got the entire collection but the series did drop away after Sorkin left..... Enjoyable none the less....
7. Thats exactly how I saw the altercation...... People react differently to disapointment......... Ive been in a daze since yesterday and the pangs of regret of missing out on 19 because of silly draws against less than mediocre teams at Anfield has left me numb....... Since Saturday...... I've locked my self away from any contact and am trying console myself, w/ Belvedere, Remy Martin and Laphroig as company..... Carra has reacted w/ fury at his teammates fuck ups many times before...... And Carra will react w/ fury at his teammates fuck ups many times again......... Nothing wrong w/ that....... From the replay I think the pushing & shoving only started after Arbeloa reacted to being yelled at by Carra...... I’m sure the entire Club has a heavy heart today……. Carra rightly yelled at Bob for a defensive lapse…… Bob (wrongly) thought it was an overreaction and tried to dismiss it……. And then it kicked off……. If this happened in November, I’m confident Bob would have put his hand up and said…… Yeah I fucked up, won’t happen again…… He like all of us are distraught at being so close and still not getting there and his Fuck Off Carra waive of the hand was his way of reacting….. And Carra snapped…… the soul of the Club….. has hurt too long, only to see the Cunts up the road take their tally to 18…….. There is no justification for that sort of on field behaviour from ANY Liverpool player……. Not the yelling, but the handbags that followed…. As for Xabi…… Too Fuckin Right…….. That Man and His Beard has showed Class, Dignity, and Leadership again……. by trying to get the players focused on the remaining 10min of the game….. You can clearly see Xabi pointing to his head and saying to Carra….. Use your head mate….. Think Clearly…… Good on West Brom fans for their support, Good on Tony Mowbray trying to play football and not hoof…… and Good Luck in the Championship……. The West Brom Players though can all Fuck Off w/ their shithouse attitudes……
8. I love the Midway..... done that tour a couple of times..... Actually a Navy buddy of mine (he was based up at Whidbey Island, not far from you) from back in AUS, gave me a tour of the 32nd St Naval Base, Point Loma Sub Base and North Island NAS...... I loved it..... really impressive from close up...... If you are ever down this way pm me..... we'll head to Shakespeare's and catch a game on Shitsanta or FSC and endure incessant waffle passed off as expert commentary.... We are blessed w/ some beautiful beaches.... Southern California and San Diego in particular is lovely..... but outrageously expensive.....
9. A Houseboat...... Nah Mate...... Although.... I wouldn't mind a Yacht..... I too am just off the I-5 but a little lower in latitude than The Ghost.... Brilliant Idea...... The Reps will be spread...
10. Ahem..... http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/gf-general-forum/64734-i-hate-walking-el-caminito-del-rey.html

The same user on YouTube (RosieisaRed) also has this on offer: Now that made me cry....
12. Can he do this though? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6IcLXzwwEs
13. With fuckin' bells on..... Any reason you've chosen Orlando or Vegas....
14. You Bunch of Whinging Pansies...... Driving here isn't half as dramatic as you lot make it out to be.... And sure as hell don't lump all of us in Southern California w/ the pricks in LA..... LA is a huge concrete parking lot..... thats a gross generalisation, but anyways.... Although the idiots in Brisbane and Sydney weren't far behind... Of course us Adelaide natives were very well mannered.... Boston, NYC, Atlanta and Miami are as bad as Milan, Genoa, Bangalore and Bangkok during rush hour, but those four American cities are still more fluid outside peak time than the non US cities mentioned. I've had the pleasure/pain of driving through the US and Canadian country side and it can be breath taking, but it has often been peaceful and serene, without being overwhelming...... And most of my experiences here (driving, drivers and driving etiquette) has been overwhelmingly positive... I have no experience of driving in the UK, but you lot are partially right (some cities aren't fun to drive in), and partially prone to massive grand excess overgeneralization of an entire continent based on a few bad experiences.....
15. When you say... where in Madrid did they buy tickets? The tickets are outrageously expensive online. And I fear the Real Madrid ticket office would have sold out rather quickly, no?
16. If the above is accurate, thats fuckin' brilliant.... Gotta love the man....
17. Forget the Reps (and keep the negs)......... Its not 0229 (or thereabouts) everywhere........
18. Alonso was the first Liverpool player to turn me gay……… All you youg’uns have turned for Torres, (I still would, mind) but its still Xabi for me…. Class Act.... on & off the field..... As Dave said earlier...... everything you'd want from one our players....
19. Thanks Lads......... Keep 'em coming..... And you lot (or atleast you two) have set the bar high for the quality of women I might encounter..... Looking forward to it........
20. I'm off to Genoa, for (work) the next three weeks and would love to hear you’re recommendations/suggestions about places to see and things to do…. That can also include people to do (if ALL Italian women are Hot……..) I might also be called up to Basle and perhaps even Vienna…….. I am looking forward to completing some amount of work in between following the GF’s advice on revelry & debauchery…. I’d appreciate it if your counsel isn’t likely to get me arrested or worst still be subjected to an Extraordinary Rendition…
21. Made me smile.... And a beautiful song too... Perhaps there is still hope for us all.... Cheers for that....
22. Fosters Swilling.......... Yeah thats us... Hows that Molson coming along..... We beat you in Sydney cause you were crap..... as for going to penalties.... we too were crap..... but a better standard of crap than you blokes.... Thats a little unfair to the Roos.... we had strong individuals in that '93 campaign..... just a little rudderless as a group..... that and Eddie Thompson as coach.... Oh the years of heartache.....
23. This came as a fwd from a mate back home.... Worth a watch.... Breathtaking, Very Scary Walk in Spain El Caminito del Rey (The King's pathway) is a walkway, now fallen into disrepair, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Álora in Málaga, Spain. The walkway has gone for years without maintenance, and is in a highly deteriorated and precarious state. It is only one meter in width, and is built over a 700-meter (2,296-foot) sheer drop; over time it has also lost most of its handrails. Some parts of the concrete walkway have 'potholes' or have completely collapsed and have been replaced by a beam and a small-diameter metal cable on the wall. Many people have lost their lives on the walkway in recent years. After four people died in two accidents in 1999 and 2000, the local government closed the entrances. However, adventurous tourists still manage to navigate their way onto the walkway. I recommend full screen viewing ! El camino del Rey - Brightcove
