On holiday is Bosnia about 10 years ago, me and the missus ordered starter and mains at a place in Mostar. We’d decided to share a mixed cheese and meat platter to start, with bread. When it arrived it was enough for 4 easy. I couldn’t see it go to waste, so polished it off and had at least twice what the missus had. Then my mixed grill arrived. It was fucking massive. Steak, chops, kebab, chicken, cevapi, sausage etc and fuck loads of chips. I say this as a big eater, clearly the portions in this place were enormous and the mixed grill would have done 2 easy. The other half gasped, thinking well he’s fucked it. To which I said “Love, you’re about to see something very special” Finished the lot, then went back to the hotel to lie down like a stuffed python for the night.

I recently got told I need a second pair for occasional reading, and I used these https://specscart.co.uk I’ve got a nice pair I’ve had a few years which are still good for driving when tired and TV, so didn’t want to spend too much for a pair I’ll use for screens. My eldest lad got Batsman of the year for his U8’s cricket team at the end of season awards this week. Couple of 30 odds not out sealed it (they’re only allowed to bat for 2 overs). One of those was superb, he was pelting it both sides of the wicket and got a couple of sixes. literally the most proud I’ve ever been of him, mostly because my batting is shite and he’s already averaging better than me.

There maybe some tangible cost benefits of sharing costs and the analytical side of sporting data, admin, feeding players etc, that may work to and advantage for non profit oriented (sports washing enterprises) but it seems these are employed by the predator types more for lowering operating costs or profit raising (read shyster siphoning).
