    Oliver Holt led quite a voluble campaign against her at the time. As I remember, she was contacted & asked to come and meet the testers but said she couldn't do it within the time they allowed. Holt did the trip by different methods of transport & reached the rendezvous each time. I don't have any real beef with her & she took her ban, but I just compare the deliberate silence on the matter with the way Cram ( & the Beeb generally ) were so outspokenly vindictive on Chambers.

    I have no problem with young trendies wearing them, but boring, fat middle aged pricks with balding pates & baggy work suits look fucking ridiculous.

    I got the full stadium thing one Xmas & you had to be a DIY fanatic just to get the floodlights sorted. Me & my mates used to get a room as dark as possible by throwing anything over the closed curtains, so the floodlights looked good on the pitch. As is suggested in the piece however I soon found better things to do in darkened rooms & didn't even know subbuteo was still available.

    I've been getting in with my mate's dads over-65 ticket since I was in late 30's so they aren't particularly vigilant ( Or I'm an old looking bastard )

    Pulled some idiots over doing the 'hilarious' Chinese voices to the staff in my local chippy in Walton years ago & it all went off. We were outnumbered but luckily some lads at the back of the queue jumped in as well & the no-marks got run off. Always got a boss portion of chips after that. Don't think I would do it nowadays though as you have no idea what idiots might be carrying.

    Could be a good omen OST, the second worst spec I have ever had at Anfield was being squashed against the main stand wall where it joined the Kop, but we beat Stoke 4-0 so wasn't complaining. ( The worst was at the back of the first tier of the Anny Road stand under the roof bit, for the Benfica Champions League game. Spent the whole game bent over from the waist to see anything. )

    I wouldn't have thought that any player in a £20m move to England would be looking for much less than £60k/£65k a week in reality. Am on the fence with FSG at present but they can't win in situations like this can they ? If they triple a bod's wages they are shit negotiators, if they negotiate hard & somebody else nips in they are shit negotiators & liars who didn't really want the player.

    I would be happy enough with Daniel or Lucas although I don't think they are vocal enough really. If he was on the pitch Toure would probably fit the profile of a skipper best for me, but it might feel like a slap in the face to more established players, so one of the two aforementioned are probably best.

    Mustang Every player gets 2 points for playing up to 60 mins & 2 points for over 60 mins. Defenders get 6 points for a goal A clean sheet gets a defender 4 points Every 2 goals conceded -1 point Yellow card - 1 point Red Card -3 points So if Agger played a full game & scored in a 1-0 win for us he would get 12 points ( + any bonus points which are given randomly ) All of the points are in the 'Help' section on the right of the screen under 'rules'

    Kudos to big Dereck. Can't be many boxers that have been sent to anger management classes. Agree with the previous posters that Groves needs more seasoning yet. Has surprised me how he has trained on since the DeGale fight though & the Paul Smith ko was excellent.

    School trip to Alnmouth ( nr. Alnwick ) at 13. Local pub & mate asked for 2 pints of beer. Landlord pissed himself & asked ' Bitter beer or Lager beer ?'. Compounds this by asking my mate if it is his & his girlfriend's !! ( had long hair then ) first drink, but fair-do's he didn't take the money for them. Got back to the YMCA we were staying in later & it was like a WW1 field hospital.

    Give or take Stevie & Carra, Pepe has been my favourite recent player, but I think this deal might work out well for all sides. We are saving a min. £2m over the season & getting a goalie who wants to be at LFC, has presumably been earmarked by the scouts and may not be available or may be dearer next season. Pepe gets a bit more love & his mates at Napoli & should shine in a league without crosses before taking his family home next year & we get the delayed fee.
