  1. Eh'd o' got the job of supervisor instead of sales assistant if eh'd kept they ice cool european chinos and made the kind o' impression i wanted! Ifithadnaebinformaicecooleuropeanchinos!!!
  2. I must admit to hating him also and im obviously still quite bitter as well because I find myself getting pissed off with the notion recently that he's the best keeper in the premiership. He was in team of the season the other year i think. He's nowhere near pepe, cech or van der sar. I think your right when you say it was his "it's all a bit of a joke" mentality that caused the annoyance. He came off the bench for England, rushed off his line, fucked up and gave the opposition a goal, then later he says "I didn't warm up properly." Sums him up. Complete tit!
  3. I share peoples frustrations with the subs especially the yossi for keane one as keane looked most likely to make something happen and yossis form is poor at the mo. I thought we were intending to do the usual, away from home plan. Keep it tight and then really go at them the last half hour. However, this hasn't served us well in the past Blackburn away, boro away, city away. We usually end up all over them but dont quite give ourselves enough time to win the game. Very frustrating and id prefer us to change this policy and just try and win from the outset. Its as if its based on some kind of crazy fitness theory rafa has. Wear them down then attack them when theyre tired ala Ali versus Foreman but it doesnt work as the past has proved. Today was even more frustrating as we didnt even exert pressure towards the end. In spite of all this Im not really worried as the result was decent. People should calm down a bit and remember Chelsea went down 2 nil there last season. Arsenal were indifferent against fulham away without fabregas and we never had our two best players today against a far superior side to fulham. Theres no reason to be panicking. I think its a case of be careful what you wish for as well. Nowadays we will challenge well for the european cup every season but who knows if we can mount a real go at the league. However if someone else comes in theres no guarantee we'll be challenging for either. Im not saying I accept an eternity without a title challenge but lets at least wait and have another look 10 or so games in. The manc game is massive. A win would generate belief but I dont think we can afford to lose at home to them. It would psychologically have a terrible effect on the players belief.
  4. He was actually on sky sports news today on the phone to bitch about this. I caught the end of it. I think the FA should get a grip on shithouses like Allardyce and Warnock trying to influence referees all the time with their shitey mind games, questioning referees integrity and sometimes ust blatantly screaming at them. Surely that's a bigger issue.
  5. Don't get me wrong I absolutely hate Lawrenson for the constant shite he spouts about not just us but football in general. I recall him saying something about one of the smaller nations at the world cup really putting them down unnecessarily, I think it may have been Trinidad. He is a narrow-minded dick. However, I wouldn't be that quick to slag him over this protest. There's a point where Motson says something like "you just cannot ignore that, it's still going on." Lawrenson replies "indeed" and sounds kinda uncomfortable talking about it. He possibly just didn't know what to say, it's a pretty sensitive subject. Then again I could just be talking out my arse as he is clearly a dick.
  6. Yep, they're just pissed because they weren't allowed to use the remote-controlled ball they had the other week. You could tell there was something seriously wrong with its movement when Phil Neville scored from 25 yards.
  7. I don't understand the excitement over this, class player and all but the second momos back we'll have to many central midfielders and I don't think he'd get a game. To be honest I'd rather have Tevez of the two although he seems a little bit mental, not sure how well he'd fit in.
  8. That doesn't eliminate the possibility of it coming off the bar, off the keepers head and in though. You'd have to take the keeper out as well. Then I think your defensive would be truly fatty-proof. He got MOTM the other day against villa and was completely shit in my eyes, I don't understand it.
  9. It's a good but tough question. I'd grudgingly say us second and the mancs winning it as well. We play watford away next and then it's chelsea at anfield. If we were to win those two it would start to look a real possibility methinks. The way chelsea are playing I'd definately fancy us to win although you have to think terry may be back by then.
  10. I reckon the current rules are not to bad, it's just that refs need to actually carry them through. When do players ever get booked for diving? I get the impression that if someone dives and the ref doesn't book him that their assessors are just writing it off as a hard one to call. Ronaldo, Drogba and Robben are never booked yet dive more than once every week.
  11. Not trying to put a downer on things but I think our recent results are mainly due to easier games rather than anything else. Fulham, Charlton, Wigan are no great shakes. If and when momos fit I'd have him right in the team.
  12. I'm delighted with the draw. I'd have hated getting the likes of lille or celtic who will try to stifle us. This feels like a huge game already, tie of the round. Bring em on!
  13. Diving is driving me crazy at the moment. All that needs to happen to stop it is refs starting to book them but right now I get the impression that their assessors/superiors or whatever are not pressurising them enough to book divers. Droga dived about 4 times yesterday yet wasn't booked once. This frequently occurs with players like drogba, ronaldo and robben. Whilst they aren't getting booked they will view it as having nothing to lose so might as well take another tumble. Lehmann and drogba should've walked one yellow for the push and another for the dive.
  14. Unbelivable touch at the very end there from flamini to deny lampard. Although if he didn't have to to curl it round his own belly it surely would've been curtains for Arsenal.
  15. Had a very good game last night I thought. Few more performances like that and maybe he does still have a chance of making it with us.
  16. I know. Plus an away fixture against galatasaray in the european cup is such an easy game as well isn't it?
  17. I agree. Whatever concerns this takeover may bring, our conduct in the transfer market need not be one of them, we will be nothing like chelsea. Any extra transfer money we get will be used wisely.
  18. Haha I'm sure their fourth placed finish was a camera trick. I agree with the guy that said it's all about context. I've no sympathy for mcfadden because what he was complaining about was a dive from Johnson yet again and he must've known it wasn't going to be given. If garcia took a dive and bellamy went crazy at the ref and got sent off i'd honestly have no complaints. Whereas if carra had been sent off for abusing the ref that day when tiago handled the ball against chelsea i'd have been livid. When it's a 50/50 or close call tolerance should be shown but when players are diving and cheating and then team mates are having the audacity to abuse the ref they deserve what they get. I'm just so sick of all the bullshit and shite mind games from players and managers putting pressure on refs. I notice moyes is going on about how johnson is now being unfairly treated because of his diving reputation and so the problem continues.
  19. To be honest I can't see why polls comments, if true, are such a big deal. Collina used to watch videos of the teams he was about to referee to kee an eye out for known divers. This could also be seen as pre-judging a player but lets face it, it's just fucking sensible. It's the same players who tend to dive again and again. If poll has tagged chelsea as a bunch of diving, cheating shites i'd say he's got that about spot on. The thing that really pisses me off is managers putting pressure on refs before games, they should definately get a grip on that.
  20. I take it you're referencing the elbow in the neck he administered to that fulham player, dirty little bastard. The blueshite are a team of excellent cheats I think. Cahill does quite a lot of nasty stuff but he often seems to manage to escape punishment, Johnson is a diving bastard but I find he manages to make it look a genuine foul a lot of the time and also loads of little pushes and blocking off defenders in the box like finnan, alonso and that shef utd player the other week. Shite team, shite football thank fuck we'll be back above them soon.
  21. I thought riises reaction was hilarious. He kept putting his hand up. "Eh excuse me ref but I've just been twatted." Says a lot for him that he didn't throw himself to the floor and roll about like most. The passing tonight was really good at points I thought, quick and mostly accurate. Some passages of play reminiscent of the good performance at the weekend. Through to the next round with 2 games to spare, you've gotta be happy.
  22. Yeah, he told mourinho to "shut the fuck up" in the carling cup final I recall. We defo need more willingness to stand up for ourselves.
  23. God, this is fucking embarrassing. Get a grip man, do you honestly think that the problems are that simple? Wales are doing well at the moment eh?
  24. I feel exactly the same and I'm sure we all feel bad enough at the moment without dragging up all this tired shite.
