Carroll, Diouf, and Balotelli on the other hand clearly couldn't have given two fucks, as well as being shite. Also had to put up with about 2 years of "he's gonna come good" chat with Carroll, when it was beyond obvious he was a dud.

Interesting to see what Congress decide to do with the US held Afghan govt reserves, and the sanctions slapped on after 9/11. Sopko and a few others think it's an opportunity to impose some conditions on protecting women's rights/press freedoms etc, but there'd be a lot of push back politically so who knows. Hard not to be encouraged by this, as well as Salah looking as sharp as ever, and Mane slowly getting back to the player we know and love. Obviously usual caveats apply, but it's been a really positive start to the season.

Yeah Luque's fights are always fun as shit, aren't they? Worth watching every time. Other performance that stood out for me was Aldo. That must be the best he's looked at 135. Not sure he can win a title down there, but he's done way better than I thought he would. And credit to Munhoz for being a human punching bag for 15 minutes, too. Incredible chin on the wee fella.

Yeah if you factor in injuries then fair enough he should be discounted, but just in terms of ability he was definitely on a par with Vieira before he did his ACL imo. And I am, unfortunately, over 25.
