  1. Nothing personal Hermes but, HaHa!! Well said Rashid!!;)
  2. Spot on Coop. Folk don't realise how how bad it was, now things are getting better SLOWLY.
  3. What would you think to a small sweet 16 on this league? I'm not flush with money, but a sweet 16 on 3-2 on home team or aways? What do u think?
  4. Totally agree dude. I have mixed feelings over this saga. I feel sorry for her children and family, but, she was corrupt as they come; and she never championed the poor , unless for her own benefit.
  5. Theres so many on here obsessed with playing the same players each fucking week. Its getting scary! You'll gonna have to forget this mentality, because Rafa is not gonna change his ways. He might tweak them, but, never change them. This rotation lark, all the top 4 clubs do it, and have been doing it for some time. Our problem is that we haven't got a strong enough squad of 22-24 players, that Rafa wants. So, when we rotate, we don't have the strength in depth that we should have, and has Rafa doesn't want any of the players burnt out before the latter part of the season, he's gonna rotate. Whether we like it or not! So don't argue, and say that we have some shit results; we have and I agree, some results should have been better, but, try to see how Rafa sees it, a whole season; and hopefully we'll have a stronger second half of the season, ending with a trophy!  :santa:
  6. Totally agree. What a shit American car! Looks OK, but as usual won't be able to handle a corner!!!
  7. Where's your vote Rashid? EDIT: Seen it, sorry mate. I vote Pepe, top keeper. Good season, and not bad so far.
  8. What I meant to say was that, one of the factors of Torres not playing well was he was not at peak fitness. I will agree with what u said, but if Torres was fitter, less tired, we would have hopefully seen him do better, not necessarily win, but better.
  9. Coop, I don't disagree with what you're saying, but do you remember the ManU game, where Torres was not at his brilliant best, and he was blowing alot, as if out of breath, tired, because he played the full game at Marseilles (sp)? I agree we should go for the jugular, but I think we can do this with Babel playing upfront. Surely we have enough to beat Derby without Torres?
  10. I agree re Torres. I would be surpised if he started. I will go along with Babel upfront with Voronin/Crouch. When's Pennant back from his surgery?
  11. Isn't it said, by very clever people; "tell a lie a million times, and eventually it becomes the truth", or something to that effect. And when you consider how good the PR machine (sic) of Everton are, do you really believe that folk away from Merseyside are not gonna believe their lies?
  12. Sorry Brownie, I forgot how to access the name roll. I usually vote and don't really check, but this poll was quite interesting!
  13. public or private poll? I've voted manager, has I believe in the structure, if its private.
  14. In the end, yes. BUT, if the manager was picked by the CEO originally, and has faith in the manager, there should be very little disagreement. Ideally, there should be no disagreement, but it happens, and if the manager really wants the player, then the CEO should do there best in hiring the player, in IMO. In our club, Rafa took some of the CEO's powers and struck a deal with Mascherano, which pissed of Coco. I think Rafa was right, in that the deal should be tied up, but as I have said before, Coco lives on Planet Clown, not Earth, and takes too much time over deals; which has lead us to lose targets, according to other threads on this forum. EDIT: Afterall, the board, the money men do have the power over funds. Its a case of backing their choice.
  15. I would say the manager, but hopefully a CEO would have some idea, has he works in the world of football, and if he does his research, the CEO and manager would have a figure of where the negotiations would start, after they have heard what the agent wants for his client.
  16. At our club, a problem we have is a shite CEO who never gets off his arse, probably due to all those children parties. He does not act quick enough. AT Manc Utd Scotchy picks the players, and Gill gets the deal done very quickly. If we had this at our club, we would significantly have fewer problems. My model of a manager is he has the final say on choice, but its upto the CEO to get the deal done, with the manager letting know to the CEO how much he needs a player.
  17. The Tit. Great colour scheme
  18. It'll be Haroon, the Rightly guided one! :tease:
  19. Thats harsh Jockie. Very harsh.:notamused: :notamused:
  20. So, are you saying it was/is the sweeper system or is it more different? In the 1-4, is the 1 in front of the four, or, in front of the keeper and behind the four?
  21. Hoping they are back soon, preferably against Man U. It would be ace, has I feel we have missed both of their qualities in the recent matches, even when we have won games.
  22. Totally agree, that may well be the scenario, but how does it benefit the customer, us? We're gonna end up paying alot more for our footy, which isn't great. Just for a second, I'm feeling sorry for Sky. Please help, I'm feeling sick!  O_o
  23. The Premier League TV rights for the UK will never separated into individual club rights, because it would be financial suicide for at least 12-14 clubs, and make the league even more unequal. Look at what has happened in Spain and Italy to an extent. Plus the clubs have to vote in favour of such action in the PL meetings, requiring about 70% votes in favour, which is never gonna happen. There is scope in the future for selling individual rights in overseas territories, and this was probably one of the reasons that the Americans did buy us, and why DIC wanted to buy us, has we still have a very decent standing worldwide.
  24. I wouldn't mind there being more competition for the rights, but it is getting ridiculous, especially the prices. The kick off times are not great either. I've been quite lucky for the last 6-7 years, has I've been able to watch games at work, but that is going to change, has I've got a new job in another department, where there is no tv?!
  25. Another problem could be, that they all get a share of the product. At the moment, there are 6 packages sold. Sky has 4 packages, and Setanta 2. This works out quite expensive, a lot more than last season. If ESPN got involved, then the folks out there, could end up paying a small fortune (it's not cheap at the moment!), just to watch the Premier League.
