Just a quick glance this morning and the daily record are saying that Sissoko is being given a "trial" by kilmarnock. This has to be wrong on so many levels or have I just read it wrong?

average age of the team 17 or something silly - great game to really get vthe feel good factor going. if they can be brought up to melwood sensibly and looked after we've got a good foundation there

Was suprised we didn't hear sooner - wasn't he meant to be Roy's last signing as Fulham boss? Obviously didn't go through before the boss left! I think you can play anyone at left back - I got loads of games there and I was shite, last position to be filled in any team. Fact!

I'm being lazy really - but who fits into what hole when it comes to the crunch? The press always used to harp on about us having the biggest squad in the premiership but I guess the U-21 rule means we won't have to leave anyone out in the cold - Oh that and getting rid of players and not replacing them....

1st day of pre-season, we've been here before we'll be here again. I'm full of hope. Lets face it this management lark is a piece of piss - i think giving the players a new training regime will freshen things up - and when you look at some of the players we have there's nothing to worry about...please don't spoil my rose tinted world!!

i'm missing something - i think the aldo article is spot on -i think its clear that a legendary player taking over a good team with the funds to buy the likes of barnes and beardsley is going to have an easier ride than going down the divisions and not commanding the same respcet as a player. Also it was atime when egos were big but nothing like todays player power and I don't think today's crop of twentysomething internationals will give king kenny the same time as the fans will. Finally - i think rafa's gesture of the donations, and that includes the Rhys Jones one I heard this morning is top, and i don't think many would do that even if they did get a chunk of a pay off and walk into a new job.

I wrote to them this year in desperation to check i was still on the list - they said they couldn't say when we'd reach the front but that the people at the top of the list had been since 1996 so....congrats mate, and you may be nearer than you think!!

YES its what summers are for - gotta back your own team in the world cup. Surely its the same as supporting your local team - you can't just pick or choose depending on who's winning can you? If you've got family reasons then fair play - otherwise chav it up get the flags out and enjoy yourself -
I think he's one of the best players in the world to be honest - i think its a non arguement - would be very hard to improve the team by selling him. That said he's a no8 rather than a no10 in old style terms and his playing in the hole has become plan A rather than the suprise factor it once was. He should play deeper and free up a slot for a genuine forward. Maybe we buy Robbie Keane for 8 mill and all the papers say what a fantastic piece of business it was?

he's been told he's in with the first team from the off - so no loan farm out. Not sure if that is relevent to FM though

If I was a football manager of a club with ownership issues and was having a rough year - i'd get my agent to put out feelers so I could keep doing what I want to be doing. So if his agent wasn't having the odd conversation and talking his man up I'd be more suprised. Same for the players, although sometimes its done by the agents "without" their clients knowledge. happened all the time in the manageress! -
So hard to buy any decent player now without having to splash silly money - unless the player makes up his mind and makes it known - But...~I think it will be hard to attract any decent cover for our best players unless we change our system - who would come to Liverpool knowing we play one up top and they are competing with the best forward in the world for a start.

The lad is 15 right? so he can't have a contract with any club anyway - also didn't they bring in a rule saying you could only go to a club within 70 miles or something? So it sounds all within the rules - don't think crewe have "reported" us more the case that Gradi is complaining its not fair because if he'd manage to hold on for another 6 months then all the training and developement fees kick in - could be wrong

we don't need understudies for yossi surely - if he gets injured or its reira's turn or babel has woken up thats enough variety -we needed a bit of a cull and really there aren't many players out there better than what we have without changing our system or bringing in a whole new rotation policy

not stirring or wanting to go off topic - but do you think we have some sort of kop out if the lad never plays - ok thats the extremem but is the whole 20 mill at risk if he gets crocked every other game or keeps breaking down with this same thing? -
i don't think it's an option when its the birth of your kid, asuming you're still with the mum that is...what i object to is being invited to her mates weddings on the days "they were suprised were still available" - i've had 2 derby day weddings in 5 years and thanks to slys (ok probably the police) scheduling that nice pre wedding pint has coincided with seeing the teams announced and the game played through the wedding and photographs..the only bits when scanning your mobile continuously is frowned upon!!
