  1. My wife just had to pay NZ$1046 (about £420) for her 2002 VW Polo's cam belt and tensioners. We shopped about a bit and was told the same by everyone – they basically have to disassemble the engines in newer VW's to get at the bits they need to get it replaced. There's also quite a bit of arsing about with 2 separate tensioners and other little bits and pieces, so you're probably not getting ripped off. It's a lot cheaper than the belt snapping while you're driving along!
  2. Original. As Rowntree intended. "The original four-finger version of this chocolate bar was developed after a worker at the Rowntree's factory in York put a suggestion in the suggestion box for a snack that a 'man could have in his lunch box for work'. It was launched in September 1935...."
  3. There's a brilliant book about the packs of photojournalists covering apartheid and African politics called The Bang-Bang Club. Kevin Carter is prominent in the storytelling. Well worth a read: http://www.amazon.com/Bang-Bang-Club-Snapshots-Hidden-War/dp/0465044131
  4. Time difference. Most threads are exhausted by the time I would have anything useful/insightful/bollocks to add
  5. I got a ticket. I'm home from New Zealand in Sept just in time.
  6. he was in my year at school, didn't know him very well but he was always one of those 'alright' kids. He's AlonsoWigs cousin I think. Doubt they'll show it down here though
  7. Saw it last weekend on dvd. Really liked it. Not sure if it totally captures colonial life for the upper middle classes in Swaziland during the 1960's/70's, but then again, I wasn't there so who am I to say? Julie Walters very good in it, quite a few good laugh moments in it. I had been wondering what Wah-wah meant and it was good to find out at least.
  8. 3/10 - all complete guesses. I haven't got any kids but if I did, and the little fuckers talked like that they'd get battered (with a dictionary and thesaurus). How are you supposed to reason with kids when they talk like soft arses?
  9. I think it's sound, really brave. It'd look daft on the car park in Stanley Park though.
  10. If all else fails any decent tailor will be able to let out 32" to 34". The work can always be hidden under a cummerbund when wearing a tux.
  11. Casa Bonita. Cartman faking the apocopypse and hiding Butters so he can go to Casa Bonita in his place.
  12. Finishing posts with 'end of' and then re-entering the debate three posts later.
  13. I cropped his knob out tho
  14. I've been known to knock out the odd flash site or two, be glad to help if I can.
  15. Smiths. But would have gone for Magazine if you'd been arsed putting them in.
  16. Walton 67-68 Anfield 68-85 Elsewhere in the big wide world 85-now
  17. They've got worse. I was back home a couple of months ago and could barely understand anything anyone was saying.
  18. This one because it's genius at work. Frank Lloyd Wright, Guggenheim Museum. And this one because it's crazy and beautiful. Hundertwasser House, Vienna
