  1. Eire Heineken is okay-ish, but if you want Heineken, then go to Amsterdam and visit the Heineken Brewery. Best Heineken I've had. Strangest tasting Carlsberg and Murphys I've had, has to be in Hong Kong. They add their own flavour to the beers over there, so its nothing like you taste anywhere else... Don't know about the Hover thing, best bet for that is the dublin based guys
  2. Nope, gotta be Murphys, no better than a staggering session up Barrack street...
  3. You must be joking? Any other drugs? What about the entire pill generation out there? I can't sleep, ok here you go, I'll prescribe you some sleeping pills. Oh, I have a mood swing, ok here you go, get some prozac, or whatever the pill of choice is called these days. But no, lets not govern on any of that crap, because it keeps the majority happy and so dosed up, so we can bring through anything we wan't. Besides, you can't even have a spliff or crack cocain in a pub anymore, since that is also smoking...
  4. What makes it your pub, anymore than the next pundit in there? I'm a smoker living in Ireland and no doubt it has been good with the smoking ban. Your headaches become much less, after a long session, so thats always good. However I'm with Noos on this one, even though it has proven a to be a good thing here. The nanny state is not the way to go. Let there be incentives instead to create non-smoking pubs, or half smoking and half non-smoking pubs. Anything the government do, because it is to your own good, and we know better than you, to me is bollocks. What the hell do they know what is supposed to be better for me? At some point you have to take a stance against the I-know-better-than-you-whats-good-for-you attitude which is creeping in everywhere. But do carry on, just don't come to me, whinging next time the nanny-state decide to do something that is against one of your beliefs, you backed them up on this, you live with it. Edit: Not particularly directed at you Stu, but to all the whiners, that will no doubt come forward on the next nanny-state proposal...
  5. Sorry if this has been posted before Clicky
  6. Why is nobody mentioning the pitch? How is a team supposed to play polished passing football on pitches like the one at Chelsea or Wigan? Whether it is home or away? If Anfield was looking like those 2 pitches, we wouldn't be able to play our passing game at home either...
  7. Mouth jobby all the way...
  8. Well I'm watching the match for the second time round, 10 minutes to go, Hope Garcia comes on.....
  9. ....hater(s) --- alledgedly________
  10. Useless info: Just now there is a lonely planet program on RTE2, about Argentina, and the presenter is going to a football match in Banfield. they play in Green and White. Banfield was setup by an englishman, that was building railroads. Continue. EDIT: Oh yeah, their victory feast, is a pie.

    Holidays

Was in Tunisia years back, very nice place indeed. We were stayed in sousse. Carthage was impressive indeed, we also took a trip into Sahara for a 2 day trip, where we stayed in caves built into the sand. Very nice trip indeed. For some reason, me being Danish and all, I guess we'll go somewhere not muslim this year though...
  15. Said LuaLua was the real MoM today, especially considering the personal problems he has had, and the pllaying so good today
  16. Do you then use anti-wrinkle cream afterwards? Shower for me all the time, except winter time in skiing resorts, when you get out of the sauna, chop the ice and go for a quick dip. But thats maybe just me....
  17. real red, I'm all with you on that one. 50 quid on mens grooming products? What has the world come to....
  18. You just need to post 33.82 messages per day and climbing, and you'll do fine... And it is not weeks, but week and a half....
  19. Ok, lets see what we can do to find out whether this is blocked from a firewall, lets pull out the tools ;-) first, we need to find out which port PPLive is using to send its packets, and which port it receives it on. Second, we need to see if we can get to that host on those specific port numbers If we can get to the host on the specified portnumbers, then it is a problem in the S/W or the operating system itself. If we can't get to it, we'll need to trace where we are stopped, whether it is our own machine, or somewhere else. I can't help you guys on a PC, I do my work on unix, but the tools here are For the first: you can use "netstat" to display which ports are bing listened on, and by which process For the Second: ping the pplive host on the specified ports with "ping" For the Third: "ping localhost", to see if we are blocked on the machine itself. If we can ping localhost, then it isn't the internal firewall that is blocking us, then use "traceroute" to see where we are blocked.
  20. It is defo way better than Crossroads of Twilight, not bad actually. My biggest gripe by far with these books, are that the series has now gone on for over 10 years, get fucking typing and finish this series. I really like the series as a whole, but started reading them when the second book came out, and each time there goes about a year to the next one, so not to miss out on anything, I read the entire series so far in the couple of months leading up to the next book. Must have read the first book, The Eye of the World about 10 times....
  21. Could I lend book 12 and 13 from you? Especially since book 11 is the last one out. click
  22. User CP->Buddy/Ignore List-> and then comes the fun, because he can't be put on ignore, b/c he is a mod, enjoy, this consultation was free...
  23. Sorry should have been more clear, yeah I can get the ingredients, but sometimes it is just easier to get one of the ready-made ones and add water and milk and then just warm it up. Those I haven't seen anywhere...
  24. Nope, has to be bearnaise sauce, which can't be had anywhere on these isles, so have to get the ingredients sent over. Worst thing is though, going to a restaurant, and you just want one of those juicy things, and then have to look on in envy, while I'm eating a salad or a pasta or something. Rarely go to other than Indian or Chinese restaurants here in Ireland, gets too envious otherwise....
