  1. Maybe we should offer him a 1 year contract then?!!! Sorry, couldn't resist that! I actually agree with you on this. He'd feel like a backward step.
  2. Without sounding like a bitter, I'd like to know what made the referee blow early (without all the added time) in Athens... Even Benitez came out from the dug out looking pissed off and checking his watch.
  3. Fucking hell, that's not even 7 of their squad players, but 7 of their best first team! They're either taking the piss if these are all bogus injuries, or just unlucky! Be interesting to see how many of them play in the next game!
  4. I thought this was going to be a post about watching Escape From New York, which I was watching on TV this evening! :D
  5. I can't work it out either then because I worked it out the same as him! Isn't it because the two games again Man U were two lots of '6 pointers' ? I got an N in A Level Maths and my comment here might show why! N for Nearly Nobhead but not good enough!! :wallbutt:
  6. I'd take Owen back if I thought he still had blistering pace, but I can't remember seeing him show any real change of pace or speed for a few years now. I think he's too scared to really go for it in case he injures himself again. I was gutted when he left Liverpool though - seeing him go to Real Madrid was like the footballing equivalent of seeing an ex girlfriend going out with a new boyfriend! In a completely non-queer way though, if you know what I mean! :P
  7. Bit of a pussy if you ask me. Big strong fella like that, yet after all the crying and hands over his head, he doesn't even have any significant damage?! I tore my quadricep and had some nasty ligament and tendon damage in my knee a few years back but I was hobbling around for 6 months waiting for a MRI scan to diagnose what was wrong! Think the doctors thought I was just bullshitting them that it hurt until I had the scan. I've got a photo of the aftermath of surgery somewhere. I should dig it out and post it!
  8. I think he's got a bit of a semi hard-on going on in this photo! Did someone mention Biscan earlier in this thread?! Don't blame him though - I'd have one myself if I scored a goal for Liverpool!! :P
  9. Don't know if this is too old, but a quick Yahoo search found this: http://www.prior-analytics.com/UserFiles/Documents/Manuals/Sage/1180011345000220.pdf We use Sage Line 50 in work and find that Sage telephone support has always been excellent (I assume it'd be just as good for CRM). Or maybe I just have a thing for Geordie birds and imagine I'm speaking to Cheryl Tweedy lookalikes or something! ;)
  10. I didn't write it myself (I wish I'd thought of it!), but was loving reading this bit on his Wikipedia page: "Anil Ambani is currently interested in buying Liverpool FC. Apparently he has ditched his interest in buying Everton FC after watching them get destroyed by Liverpool FC at Goodison Park recently. He insists that Everton were never a serious option and believes that they are a 'small club' that are just desperate to get 'a little attention' after constantly living in Liverpool FC's shadow for many, many years. After recently visiting Goodison Park he suggested that they should 'tear it down and replace it with an Matalan store, as it would be better value.'"
  11. The first I really noticed this guy was after his little tussle with Skrtel towards the end - fair play to the lad though, if it wasn't for him, I'd still never have seen Skrtel smile! :)
  12. Sorry if these have already been posted, but there were some good pictures on the Getty Images website. I don't know if it's just me, but there's something really sweet about seeing Liverpool players celebrating with all the bluenoses in the background! ;)
  13. I was just looking at the original image and can't believe the amount of dust on the sensor! Would appreciate anyone's recommendations for sensor cleaning kits as it could definitely do with a good clean!
  14. I took the photo below on Monday evening at Derwentwater in the Lake District - the image came out a bit dark as I was underexposing it quite a bit to try and prevent the sky from being too washed out with the sunlight peeking through. This meant that the foreground needing brightening quite a bit in Lightroom, which spoils the image in places. Although I had a tripod, I also had my girlfriend waiting so didn't want to spend too long faffing around taking multiple exposures to combine later.
  15. I used to watch this show all the time and loved it. Did anyone see the show where they had Gary Mason on?! They asked him why he got kicked off some boxing show on Sky (Ringside?) and the story went like this (I'm paraphrasing here): Gary Mason: They used to do a news bulletin on the show where they cut away to another part of the studio. I saw the news reporter was wearing the same tie as me so I said, not realising that I was live and on air, "Fuck me, he's got my fucking tie on!!!" I'd love to see that again as I'm doing it no justice at all, it was hilarious watching him tell the story on the show with everyone laughing their heads off!
  16. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a piece of software that allows you to edit/adjust/manipulate your RAW files. It also allows you to keyword them, do web photo galleries, etc. You can see a full spec here: Adobe - Photo Management Software - Photoshop Lightroom I've been using it for a year or two now since they first launched a public beta and think it's excellent - I find it has a much neater and efficient workflow for editing images than just Photoshop on its own.
  17. They said on the BBC that there should have been 3 minutes of added time, but when Chelsea got a freekick just outside the box with a minute of added time to go, the referee blew his whistle for full time. Then Ferguson comes on the pitch to pull Gary N*ville away from the ref in appreciation for blowing early.
  18. I really liked that too - I wasn't sure if it was a real picture or not at first! :-)
  19. Ahh yes, I've just looked on Warehouse Express and noticed that it's £277 with a 18-55 Lens, so that's quite a bit cheaper. You'll be pleased with the image quality of any D-SLR though! I got my first D-SLR back in 2004, when I went from a Canon PowerShot G5 to a Canon EOS 20D. The image quality was great of course, but I quickly wanted to buy extra lenses and better lenses and it soon put a strain on my relationship with my lovely girlfriend! ;-) I also miss being able to put a compact camera in my pocket! With a few lenses and a D-SLR, I have a little shoulder bag and it does seem like more of an effort lugging it around on walks etc. But I wouldn't go back and find it's a worthwhile trade-off for the extra image quality, being able to print pictures out at bigger sizes, being able to crop images more and still get decent print sizes etc. Good luck with whatever you end up doing!
  20. I recently bought a Canon 450D for around £360 body only including the £50 Canon cashback. It seems like a really good camera for that sort of price range, but I am a Canon man with Canon lenses so don't even look at the Nikons. You'll find that any DSLR will give you really low noise though! Ste
  21. I know a few people who've bought Dell laptops that came with a decent warranty for that sort of price, and haven't had any complaints. You can get cheaper of course, but they're a pretty good name when it comes to laptops and we use them in work without any issues.
  22. Maybe I'm just a cynic, but I'd praise him more if he said all this on a week when he didn't have a book out! But fair enough, he's the only one to have the balls (book or no book) to say anything of note so far. Has Kenny Dalglish commented on the situation at all?
  23. I also work in IT and a company full of Windows PC's, but got my first Mac at home about a year or so ago, so kind of know both sides. I must say, I meet an awful lot of Mac users who are complete thickos! And yet they preach to me how great their Mac is and how crap Windows PC's are, yet they don't have a clue about why they're telling me that! Apple do a great job of making their users pay over-inflated prices and love their machines! I do prefer Macs for personal use, but my Dell laptop in work isn't so bad either... :wallbutt:
  24. Also consider backing data up regularly offsite, i.e. having a cheap portable hard drive that you keep in your Mum's house or something. This saves you getting burgled and losing your computer and your backup hard drive! I've also been reading recently about online backups - on a Mac, Apple have something called MobileMe which I think has an online file space. But I also read about something called Amazon S3 which offers shitloads of filespace for really cheap. Ste
