1. Jameson or Jack Daniels for me but if you want a longer drink/mixer then Jameson with Ginger-ale and Lime is okay.
2. It was the first album (cassette) I ever bought, I played Fade Away and Stolen Car over and over, I also love Drive All Night.
3. Frightened Rabbit - Pedestrian Verse, class album, great video. John Murry - The Graceless Age Steve Earle - The Low Highway
4. Saw a guy called John Murry last week in Galway, such a brilliant gig, bit of a Neil Young / Warren Zevon type of act. John Murry: The Graceless Age – review | Music | The Guardian John Murry at The Workman's Club | Review
5. I loved Gene Hackman in Clint Eastwoods Unforgiven too, great actor
6. I was there with the family last easter, stayed in the Sands Beach and it was fine, not as busy as Puerto Del Carmen, some nice places to eat (La Vaca Loca is a good Argentinian place).
7. We're renting a house in South of France in July close to Carcassone.
8. First - The River, Springsteen Best - Blood on the Tracks, Dylan Surprising - The Felice Brothers self titled album, blew me away first listen Last - Bought 3 together - Hurrah For The Riff Raff / Frontier Ruckus / Caitlin Rose
9. My favourites would be Salems Lots, The Dead Zone, Different Seasons, The Shining and The Stand. I know a lot of people find it boring, but I loved 112263 as well, a bit slow at times but a great read.
10. That's excellent, thanks! I'd never heard of her til this gig to be honest but she really rocked the place and warmed the crowd up brilliantly for the Avetts.
11. Felice Brothers, Whelans in Dublin 2009 Frightened Rabbit in Roisin Dubh (Galway) Low Anthem in Roisin Dubh Springsteen, acoustic Ghost of Tom Joad tour 1995 Avett Brothers and Grace Potter in Button Factory, Dublin last month The Duke and the King in a church in Sligo.
12. Frightened Rabbit...
13. True Romance - Hans Zimmer, Dances with wolves - John Barry, Taxi Driver - Bernard Hermann, Schindlers List - John Williams, Godfather - Nino Rota
14. And my favourite song about family... "Always remember there was nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name"
15. Thanks for the advice guys, I've been to the academy in Dublin a few times and it's fine, prefer the smaller venues but when it's your kid civilised is better I think. To avoid him becoming a conceited douche I'll keep him close to me, a balding 40 something as a companion should keep his feet on the ground.
16. Thanks DAgger they are one of the best live bands around at the moment, new album due in Feb and first samplers are excellent.
17. Looking for some local help, Frightened Rabbit are playing the o2 academy in Liverpool on Saturday 23rd February. My 13 year old son is a big fan and is desperate to see them live and they allow 8-13 year olds in (to the o2) if they are accompanied by an adult. When FR come to Ireland they always play over 18 venues so it's impossible for him to go. What's the venue like, is it suitable?
18. Tariq Panja was brilliant, most of them seemed to be rooting for us.
19. Trying again, I'm sure it's been posted before, but a great happy song!
