PODCAST: Liverpool 1 Brentford 0 - Match Reaction

A second 1-0 home win this week as once again the Reds edged over the line thanks to a Mo Salah strike, this one being his 100th at Anfield.

Chris Smith is joined by John Gallagher and TLW Editor Dave Usher to talk about an eventful evening in L4. Salah breaking more records, the defence standing tall against a set-piece bombardment, the vociferous booing of the national anthem and chanting against the Coronation. It's all in here along with a look at our gradually increasing top four hopes and more chat about the relegation situation.

I thought Trent had a poor game yesterday.  No one was great of course but considering how involved he was when he did have the ball he was mostly ineffective and a few times his defensive work, or receiving of the ball in defensive positions, got us in to trouble.

It's early days in the experiment of course but I can't ever imagine that Trent casually strolling around in midfield hitting mostly 15 yard passes is ever going to be the best use of his ability or the best thing for the team.

Kenny Dalgrush?

Ahahahahahahahahahahaha

Fucking hell Dave that had me in stitches. Even Gallagher didn’t stick up for you on that!

No it was Kenny DalgUSH.

And Ian Ush.

And Paul Wush but that one didn't really work, no matter how much I wanted it to as Walshy was my favourite player.

Imagine how good you'd have been at footy if you just had a bit of confidence in yourself.

Great one again.

big up John for the social conscience side of Liverpool as a city and a club. It is amazing what triggers people, do some people really think booing the wealthy and privileged is worse than the genuine social and economic poverty we see all around us ? An argument I have all the time down south here with the Union Jack brigade.

Second, good shout Chris on the Daily Rail and Torygraoh eulogising about freedom of speech and being anti cancel culture, until LFC boos the anthem or a tweet for Gary Linekar and they suddenly become the complete opposite to serve their agendas.

agreed on Darwin, he looks lost but if he keeps getting into those positions ( Mo’s cross or Trent’s through ball) he’ll come good. Also Just saying I did also mention the Stanley Victor Collymores situation in the pod thread last week. Let’s hope Klopps better than Roy at working this out.

Finally, Shame no Eubank impressions this week …
